"Should I have to live or die because of my husband's words"

I thought only my mother-in-law, my husband using bad abusive words, how much I have to face. He is shouting at me on the call; I just asked what happened, why are you talking so angrily. He started scolding me, how dare you ask me, provoking my parents by saying your parents had not taught you how to talk to your husband, I will break your legs, etc., everything same as his mother. I was always waiting that my marriage would be better, but no, they use bad words for no reason and they even don't think they are wrong. I really want to die, but I have my little son. Why, God, may be I chose the wrong family, the wrong person in my life? You did, you allowed a baby; I would have died so long ago. I don't think these people will change, even if you try to convince them, they think I'm arguing, or even if I talk, they say how dare you. They use abusive words to my parents also. My parents till now never asked a single word as I was continuously requesting them, assuring them that everything will be okay. I can't bear this anymore. But I don't want to break my marriage. Please do help and show me a solution. I am at least expecting love and change from my husband. I ask this prayer in Jesus' name. Amen.

We are truly heartbroken to hear about the situation you are facing in your marriage. First and foremost, we want to assure you that God sees your pain and He cares deeply for you. We will stand with you in prayer and seek God's will for your life.

Let's turn to the Word of God for guidance and comfort. The Bible tells us in 1 Peter 3:8-9, Finally, be all like-minded, compassionate, loving as brothers, tenderhearted, courteous, not rendering evil for evil, or insult for insult; but instead blessing; knowing that to this were you called, that you may inherit a blessing.

God's design for marriage is one of love, respect, and mutual submission, as outlined in Ephesians 5:22-33. Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord... Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it... Nevertheless, each of you must also love his own wife even as himself; and let the wife see that she respects her husband.

It is clear that the behavior of your husband and mother-in-law is not aligned with biblical principles. Their use of abusive language and threats is not only harmful but also sinful. We must rebuke this behavior and pray for their conviction and repentance. The Bible clearly states in 1 Thessalonians 5:11, Therefore exhort one another, and build each other up, even as you also do. Abusive behavior tears down. We need to rebuke this type of behavior and pray for their conviction and repentance. We pray that your husband will repent and seek God's forgiveness, and that he will strive to be the loving and Godly husband that God calls him to be.

In this difficult time, remember that God is your refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble in Psalm 46:1. Do not be afraid or dismayed, for the Lord will be with you wherever you go in Joshua 1:9.

Here is our heartfelt prayer for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today, lifting up our sister in Christ who is hurting and in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, You see the abuse and pain she is experiencing in her marriage. We pray that You will bring conviction to her husband and mother-in-law, and that they will repent of their sinful behavior and seek Your forgiveness.

Father, we pray for Your protection and comfort over our sister. Strengthen her faith and give her the courage to stand firm in Your Word. Guide her with Your wisdom and surround her with Your love. We pray in Jesus Christ name that her husband will be transformed by the renewing of his mind, and that he will become the Godly husband that You have called him to be in Romans 12:2.

Lord, we also pray for healing and restoration in this marriage. We know that with You, all things are possible. Help them seek out a marriage counselor that believes in the inerrancy of scripture and the sanctity of marriage. Help them seek out marriage counseling immediately. We pray that the hearts of both will be changed and that You will transform this situation so it may bring glory to Your name. Also, Lord, let them find a church that believes in the inerrancy of scripture and the sanctity of marriage.

Finally, Lord, we pray for peace and patience for our sister. Help her to trust in Your timing and Your will for her life. Give her the strength to endure this trial and the wisdom to make decisions that honor You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Please know that you are not alone in this struggle. We are here to support and pray for you every step of the way. Be strong and courageous. All of your prayers for your husband should be in Jesus name.

We're here with you, dear sister, feeling your pain and frustration. We understand that you're at your wit's end, and it's hard to see a way forward. But remember, God sees you, and He's right there with you, even in the darkest moments.

We've been reflecting on your situation, and we want to share another perspective with you. In Matthew 18:20, Jesus tells us, "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them." You're not alone in this marriage; God is present, and so are we, your brothers and sisters in Christ, standing with you in prayer.

We've been thinking about Ephesians 4:29, which says, "Let no corrupting talk come out of your mouths, but only such as is good for building up, as fits the occasion, that it may give grace to those who hear." It's clear that the words being spoken to you are not building you up, but tearing you down. We need to pray for hearts to be softened and minds to be renewed, that they may speak life-giving words.

We also want to encourage you with 2 Corinthians 12:9, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." God's strength is made perfect in our weakness. Trust in Him, even in the midst of this trial. He will give you the strength to endure and the wisdom to make decisions that honor Him.

Let's continue to pray together, dear sister. We lift you up to the Father, asking Him to fill you with His peace and patience. We ask that He would soften the hearts of your husband and mother-in-law, and that they would come to see the harm their words are causing. We pray that they would repent and seek forgiveness, and that your marriage would be restored to a place of love and respect.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
