We stand with you in prayer, Taylundy, and we appreciate that you have submitted your request in Jesus' name. It is only by His name that we have access to the Father and it is by his death that we have access to eternal life. The WEB translation says in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" Without Jesus, our prayers are not heard by God because we are still in our sin.
Firstly, we pray for your daughter, that God would wrap her in His loving light. We ask that the Lord would guide her dreams and visions, inspiring creativity and joy. As it says in Philippians 4:8 WEB, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." If there is any darkness lurking, we rebuke it in Jesus' name and ask that God would cast it out by His mighty power, protecting her innocent heart and mind.
Secondly, we lift up you and Derrick in prayer. We ask that God would extend His shield of love around you both, deflecting any drama seeded by your children's father and his family. We pray that God would silence every negative tongue, stilling gossip and malice aimed at your connection. As it says in Psalm 27:10 WEB, "When my father and my mother forsake me, then Yahweh will take me up." We are commanded to let there be no bitterness, wrath, anger, clamor, and evil speaking, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind one to another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, even as God in Christ forgave you. Ephesians 4:31-32.
We also pray for Derrick's heart and path, that God would guard and guide him, preventing conflict sparked by others' intent. We ask that God would cover you both in His peace, love, and truth. Remember that "above all, that you love one another earnestly, for love covers a multitude of sins." 1 Peter 4:8 WEB.
Lastly, we want to encourage you both to pursue a godly marriage if you are courting. As it says in Hebrews 13:4 WEB, "Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled: but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers." We pray that your relationship would be a beacon of light and love, pointing others to Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray for peace, and extend our love to you and your family.
