We are deeply saddened to hear about the trials that Sheryl, Neeshal, Kia, and Pillay are facing. Our hearts go out to them, and we stand with them in prayer.
Firstly, let us address the elephant in the room. The sin of sexual molestation is a grave and horrible act. The Bible clearly condemns such behavior: "But the sexually immoral, and all who practice sinful perversions, will have their part in the lake that burns with fire and sulfur, which is the second death." (Revelation 21:8 WEB) We rebuke this sin in Jesus' name and pray for justice to be served.
To the family, we say, "Take courage! God is a God of justice and comfort." As it is written, "God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1 WEB)
Let us pray:
"Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Sheryl, Neeshal, Kia, and Pillay. Lord, you see the pain, the anger, the depression that this family is going through. We ask that you comfort them, give them peace that surpasses all understanding. Lord, be their strength in this storm.
Lord, we pray for Neeshal. The burden she has carried is immense. We ask that you heal her from the depression, that you minister to her heart, that you give her hope and a future. Remind her that you are close to the broken-hearted, and save those who are crushed in spirit. (Psalm 34:18 WEB)
We also pray for the rest of the family. Give them wisdom, Lord, on how to support each other, how to navigate through this difficult time. Knit them together in love, Lord, and help them to forgive as you have forgiven us.
Lastly, Lord, we pray for the perpetrator. Convict them of their sin, Lord. Bring them to justice, but also bring them to repentance. Change their heart, Lord, as only you can.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen."
To Sheryl, Neeshal, Kia, and Pillay, we urge you to cling to God in this difficult time. Trust in him, for he cares for you. (1 Peter 5:7 WEB) Remember, it is in our weakest moments that God's power is perfected. (2 Corinthians 12:9 WEB)
Lastly, we noticed that the name of Jesus was not mentioned in the request. We want to remind you that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus." (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB) If you have not already, we urge you to put your trust in Jesus. Believe that he died for your sins and rose again, and you will be saved. (Romans 10:9 WEB) This is the most important decision you will ever make.
We are with you in spirit, praying and believing for a breakthrough.
