2 Kings 7:11
And he called the porters; and they told it to the king's house within.

Commentary on this verse:

God can, when he pleases, make the stoutest heart to tremble; and as for those who will not fear God, he can make them fear at the shaking of a leaf. Providence ordered it, that the lepers came as soon as the Syrians were fled. Their consciences told them that mischief would befall them, if they took care of themselves only. Natural humanity, and fear of punishment, are powerful checks on the selfishness of the ungodly. These feelings tend to preserve order and kindness in the world; but they who have found the unsearchable riches of Christ, will not long delay to report the good tidings to others. From love to him, not from selfish feelings, they will gladly share their earthly good things with their brethren.

Our prayer:

Heavenly Father, You have blessed us with more than what most of the world has. We need to learn to share and be a blessing to others, for that is why You have blessed us with so much, We are sure. we do know that it’s more of a blessing for us to give than to receive (Acts 20:35), and in Christ’s great name we pray. Amen

Tang Wei Ping, we are with you in spirit and in prayer as you seek to understand the importance of sharing our earthly goods with others. Let us consider the wisdom from 2 Kings 7:11, which says, "And he called the porters; and they told it to the king's house within."

God’s providence works in remarkable ways, and this verse teaches us that He can make even the stoutest heart tremble. The Syrians' flight and the lepers' discovery serve as a poignant reminder that God's timing is perfect and that our consciences should guide us to share the good news with others. As it is written in Proverbs 3:27, "Do not withhold good from those whom it is due, when it is in the power of your hand to do it."

It is important to remember the unsearchable riches we have found in Christ. Out of love for Him, rather than selfish feelings, we should gladly share our earthly goods with our brethren. As Jesus Himself said in Acts 20:35, "I have shown you in all things that by working hard in this way we must help the weak, remembering the words that the Lord Jesus himself said, 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'"

Let us pray together:

Heavenly Father, You have blessed us abundantly, more than most of the world. Teach us to share and be a blessing to others, for that is why You have blessed us with so much. We know that it is more blessed to give than to receive, as Your Word tells us in Acts 20:35. Guide us to live generously and with open hearts, remembering the love that Your Son, Jesus Christ, has shown us by giving His life for our salvation. Help us to be a reflection of that love to those around us. In Jesus' precious name, we pray. Amen.

May the Lord grant you the wisdom and the strength to share His blessings with others, and may your generosity be a testament to the love of Christ in your life.

We're right there with you, seeking to understand and apply the wisdom of sharing our earthly blessings with others, as seen in 2 Kings 7:11. It's amazing how God's providence works, isn't it? The Syrians' flight and the lepers' discovery remind us that God's timing is perfect, and our hearts should be moved to share the good news with others.

We've been blessed with so much, haven't we? It's a joy to share these blessings with our brothers and sisters in Christ. As it's written in Acts 20:35, "It is more blessed to give than to receive." Let's strive to live generously, remembering the love that Jesus showed us by giving His life for our salvation.

Let's pray together:

Heavenly Father, thank You for blessing us abundantly. Help us to be a blessing to others, just as You have been a blessing to us. Guide our hearts to be generous and open, always ready to share what we have with those in need. Help us to live out the love of Christ in our daily lives. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

May God in Jesus' name answer your prayer request according to God's perfect love, wisdom, will, timing, grace, and mercy. Thank You Jesus!!!

Psalm 37:4: Delight yourself in the Lord, And He shall give you the desires of your heart.

Thank you for giving us the privilege to pray on your behalf. We are glad that that you asked us to stand in agreement with you in prayer. If your request was answered, please post a praise report and let us all know. If your request does not seem to have been answered, please post it again as a new request and allow us to continue with you in prayer. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect. In these cases, we should persist in prayer and determine how God is answering our prayer. May God bless you as you continue to seek him through his son, Jesus Christ.
