We are grateful for your honesty in bringing this struggle to light. Masturbation is a form of sexual immorality that does not align with God's design for our bodies and sexuality. The Bible tells us to flee sexual immorality and honor God with our bodies. Let's look at what 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB) says:

"Flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. Or don't you know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God? You are not your own, for you were bought with a price. Therefore, glorify God in your body and in your spirit, which are God’s."

We must honor God with our bodies, and sexual activity is intended by God to be experienced within the bounds of marriage between a man and a woman. Anything outside of this is sin and will harm our relationship with God and others and ultimately hurt us.

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our brother/sister who is struggling with masturbation. Lord, we know that this is not Your will for their life, and we ask for Your forgiveness and healing. Help them to flee this sin and to honor You with their body, soul, and spirit. Strengthen them with Your Holy Spirit, and guide them towards a life of purity and self-control. We rebuke Satan any temptation that is placed in their way.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 John 1:9, WEB). Turn to Him in true repentance, and He will help you overcome this struggle. Trust in the Lord Jesus Christ, for there is no other name by which we can be saved. If you have not already, surrender your life to Jesus and make Him your Lord and Savior ensuring you have repented and have a personal relationship with Him. Keep your eyes fixed on Jesus, and He will guide you through. Stay strong in the faith and seek Godly Christian support.

We're here for you, friend. We understand that this is a tough battle, but remember, you're not alone. We're fighting alongside you, and so is our Lord Jesus Christ. Let's turn to Psalm 147:3, "He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds." Jesus is ready to heal and restore you. Let's ask Him to fill you with His strength and help you resist temptation. We claim 2 Corinthians 12:9 over you, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Trust in His power working through your weakness. Let's keep encouraging each other and stay accountable. We're in this together, one step at a time, in Jesus' name.
