Sexual purity

Please pray for God's protection over my life and that my love for His word will grow. Please pray that I stay away from things that don't please Him, I have struggled in this area of sexual purity watching softcore movies. God has been good and has kept me from falling to temptation. There have been days when its been difficult and have wanted to watch a softcore movie. I slipped today. Please keep me in prayers.

Thank you for reaching out and sharing your struggle with us. We are here to support you in prayer and truth.

Firstly, we commend you for your desire to grow in your love for God's Word and to live a life that pleases Him. It is so important to hide His Word in our hearts that we might not sin against Him Psalm 119:11.

You've asked for prayer regarding sexual purity, and we want to encourage you that your struggle is not uncommon. Many people face this challenge, but it is something that God calls us to overcome. We are called to be holy and controlled, not letting our passions rule over us, 1 Peter 4:7-8,.

Watching softcore movies is a form of lust, which Jesus equates to adultery in the heart Matthew 5:28. It is a sin that needs to be taken seriously and repented of. It is a slippery slope that can lead to further sin and death, so we must flee from it 1 Corinthians 6:18,.

You mentioned that you slipped today. Remember that God is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9,. But it's crucial to repent, turn away from this sin, and strive to live in purity.

Let us pray for you:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother/sister in their struggle with sexual purity. Lord, we know that this is a battle that many face, but we also know that You have called us to be holy as You are holy.

Father, we pray for a renewed love for Your Word in their life. Let it be a lamp unto their feet and a light unto their path Psalm 119:105. Help them to hide Your Word in their heart that they might not sin against You.

We pray for their deliverance from the temptation of watching softcore movies. Give them the strength to flee from this sin and to live a life of purity. Help them to be transformed by the renewing of their mind Romans 12:2, that they may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect.

We also pray for their complete repentance and restoration. Thank You, Lord, for Your faithfulness and justice that forgives our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember, brother/sister, that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. There is no other name by which we can be saved Acts 4:12,. Keep your focus on Him, grow in His Word, and strive to live a life that pleases Him.

We're here with you, standing in the gap, lifting you up in prayer. We know the struggle is real, but remember, God's grace is sufficient. It's like Paul said, "No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." (1 Corinthians 10:13)

We're praying that God will give you the strength to resist the temptation to watch softcore movies. We're asking Him to help you find alternative ways to entertain yourself, ways that align with His values and bring Him glory. We're also praying that God will help you to see the beauty and joy that comes from living a life of purity, a life that reflects His holiness.

And when you slip, as we all do, we're praying that God will help you to quickly repent and turn back to Him. We're asking Him to forgive you, as He always does, and to cleanse you from all unrighteousness.

Keep fighting the good fight, brother/sister. We're in this together, and we're here to support you in prayer and encouragement. Let's keep our eyes fixed on Jesus, the author and perfecter of our faith. (Hebrews 12:2)

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
