I need prayers, as I’m afraid I’m going to hell due to not being able to control my sexual urges. It’s been something I’ve been doing for a decade (if not longer), and I feel like I’m continuing in it. I have extreme difficulty with lusting and other things associated with it, as a lonely single man. Pornography is also a big problem for me. It has caused me to want sexual acts to happen to me. I’m an awful Christian, but am seeking prayers. I feel like a hypocrite. They open up other sins that I dare not mention. Each time I do this I ask forgiveness, but then I find myself doing it the next day or whenever. I gotta stop. It’s difficult being a single man in this day and age. I beg for forgiveness from God all those sins that I have done, as my mind makes me think my sins are ever before me. Pray that I trust that God cleanses me of all unrighteousness and blot out my iniquities, my transgressions with the saving blood of His dear Son who gave for the world. I do not deserve this at all, as I’m nothing more than a sinner in need of His mercy and saving grace on a daily basis. Please pray He extends mercy on me if He sees fit. Please pray I have a renewed mind.

We understand your struggle and commend you for reaching out. Firstly, it's important to remember that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has set you free from the law of sin and of death Romans 8:1-2 (WEB). It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. It is essential that any prayers are done by the authority of Jesus Christ, the only mediator between God and man.

Sin is indeed serious, but the blood of Jesus Christ cleanses us from all sin. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us the sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:7,9 (WEB). However, this does not mean we should continue in sin that grace may abound. Romans 6:1-2 (WEB). We must turn from our sin, not continue in it.

Regarding sexual sin, Jesus says, "But I tell you, that everyone who looks at a woman to lust after her has committed adultery with her already in his heart." Any form of sexual activity outside of marriage between a man and a woman is sin. This includes pornography, lust, and impure thoughts which are all fornication or possibly adultery. We are called to flee sexual immorality. Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body. 1 Corinthians 6:18-20 (WEB). It is not enough to ask for forgiveness; we must also make every effort to resist temptation and turn from sin. Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts. Romans 13:14 (WEB).

You mention that you feel like a hypocrite. Remember, God sees the heart. He knows your struggles and your sincere desire to change. He is faithful to complete what He started in you. Being confident of this very thing, that he who began a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ Philippians 1:6 (WEB).

Let's pray together:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before you in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother in his struggle against sexual sin. Lord, he acknowledges his sin and seeks your forgiveness. We ask that you cleanse him of all unrighteousness and blot out his transgressions by the blood of Jesus. Help him to trust in your forgiveness and the power of the blood of Jesus to make him clean. Renew his mind, Lord, and help him to put on the mind of Christ.

Help him stand against temptation. Give him the strength to flee from sexual immorality and to resist lust. Help him to fix his eyes on you and to seek the things that are above. Help him to live a life that honors you and aligns with your will.

Help him know that you see his heart and his struggles. Help him to know that you are faithful to forgive and to complete the good work you started in him. Help him walk free from condemnation, knowing that there is no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

In Jesus' name we pray. Amen.

Dear friend, we're here with you, praying alongside. We understand the battle you're facing, and we want you to know that you're not alone. We're reminded of 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 (WEB), "Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies and God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our affliction, so that we may be able to comfort those who are in any kind of affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."

We pray that God grants you the strength to resist temptation and the grace to turn away from these urges. Remember, God is faithful, and He will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. He will also provide a way out so that you can endure it (1 Corinthians 10:13). We claim this promise over you today.

We also pray for renewal in your mind. May the Spirit of God transform your thoughts and desires to align with His will (Romans 12:2). May you find freedom in Christ and the power of His resurrection (Philippians 3:10).

I wanted to commit suicide once, I even came up with a plan. Right before I headed out the door I posted a prayer on here and hoping there might be help from God one last time I opened the Bible and only read take no thought for your life. I read that before at least 100 times but never really could understand how. This time I took it to heart, all right God I will end my life by not thinking about it. I take no thought, I take no thought, I take no thought over and over and over again I take no thought was my only thought that day. All of a sudden I noticed something, Jesus showed up, all my pains were gone, no neck ache, no back pain, no leg pain from many many accidents I had over the years and no pain in my heart as my wife had left me. I started singing praises and thanks to Jesus and my life has never been the same. It is our obedience to God from His Holy Instructions that makes a difference to His Power of His Promises in our lives.

Be a doer of Jesus friend, it really makes a difference! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Search the Bible for Jesus' Promises friend, do them and claim them in Jesus! Amen! Thank You Lord Jesus!

Powerful healing promise hidden in Proverbs 3:7-8, I am not wise in my own eyes, I fear You Lord, I depart from evil, especially my own evil thoughts and my flesh is healed and my body is refreshed in Jesus.

I will trust You Father God to take thought for me and take care of me (Mathew 6:25-34). I will not be wise in my own eyes, I will fear You Lord and depart from evil and my flesh will be healed and my body will be refreshed (Proverbs 3:7-8) daily. Thank You Jesus for Your Promises! Lord make me the Child of God You need me to be in Christ for all those around me and for the world to see (Psalms 128:3). Not by my might, nor by my power, but by Your Spirt Christ Jesus (Zechariah 4:6) this shall happen. And it will happen, it is happening now in Your timing, Power, Strength, Might, and Spirit, Christ Jesus. God all that I have asked of you in this prayer please do the same for all those I love, care about, and every faithful prayer warrior on this site. Thank You, Thank You, Thank You Lord Jesus, my Savior and Lord for answering this prayer with a Yes and Amen.

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
