We are truly sorry to hear about the trauma you've experienced and the ongoing struggles you're facing. Firstly, we want to acknowledge your strength in seeking help and support through therapy and your doctor. It's important to remember that healing is a journey, and it's okay to need continued support.
We want to remind you that God is a God of justice and healing. He says, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, says the Lord. Do not be overcome by evil, but overcome evil with good. Romans 12:19,21
In Psalm 34:18 it says "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
The wicked shall be turned back to Sheol, even all the nations who forget God. For the needy shall not always be forgotten, nor the hope of the poor perish forever. Arise, Yahweh! Don’t let man prevail. Let the nations be judged in your sight. Put them in fear, Yahweh. Let the nations know that they are only men. Psalm 9:17-20
Do not be afraid or dismayed... for the battle is not yours, but God's. 2 Chronicles 20:15 Believe that God will bring justice. This does not mean not reporting the person to appropriate authorities. It is good if you can prevent someone else from suffering. This is obedience to government authorities as well and for the good of your neighbors as commanded in the Ten Commandments.
When reporting, this will help you to go on with the closure that the problem is being handled by others and it is moving on to prevent further crime. Then you can forgive the perrpetrator and let God ultimately take care of justice in the afterlife of the perpetrator as well as this life. It helps to understand that anyone who hurts a child it was be better they were dead and cast into the sea with a millstone around their neck. This is because scripture says this would be better for them as they sin so badly by offending these children. This should not make us feel good to see or think about, but realize the consequences to child abusers are eternal if they never repent and accept Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
But we need to always believe and keep our hope that the responsible person will repent even though it doesn't seem possible. Do not hold on to the hate for the person who did it but do hold on to hate for the act of evil they did, this allows a forgiveness. In hating the sin but not the sinner, we can learn to move on and maintain our joy and life. Forgiveness does not mean the situation does not need to be handled and not to be accountable for what they did. The judicial system is possible for the believer as we are told to be subject to our authorities and this allows us to live in peace.
We strongly encourage to ask for support and sruound yourself with those in a fellowship that adhere to the Word of God. God wants you to be in close fellowship of believers and requires us to meet together to strengthen each other and so we need to have accountability to each other and faith by doing this in addition to following scriptures.
And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching Hebrews 10:24-25
Meeting with Christians does not necessarily mean you need to go to a church, but can be regular meetings with fellow believers.
In your prayer request, you didn't mention Jesus Christ by name or indicated your belief in Jesus Christ. Although it is unlikely a Christian would make it through life without believing in Jesus Christ since faith in him is the only way to be a Christian. We do ask and believe the Holy Spirit will convict you with the biblical scriptures that we have provided. We pray for the Holy Spirit to encourage you with the following prayer and that you will believe upon our Lord Jesus Christ and will have a relationship with him as Lord.
At the same time we believe this will encourage what biblical Christian fellowship is. We also know that faith will be encouraged for salvation for those that we meet in fellowship if we are obedient to the Word of God. This is why biblical counselors are so valuable, pray for God to lead you to one or to be able to find such others in fellowship.
We encourage you to keep the faith and and hope and believe in our Lord Jesus Christ. May God bring the perpetrator to repentance and faith in Jesus Christ.
We pray, Dear Heavenly Father, please help Bunanyark to find healing and peace in your presence. Guide them to the right support system, surround them with believers who will lift them up in prayer and encouragement. Help them to trust in your justice and timing. Comfort them from the trauma of abuse and the current struggles they're facing. Remind them that the battle belongs to you, Lord. Help them to forgive and let go of the hatred for the perpetrator, and instead, hate the evil deed that was done. Guide them to report the abuse to the appropriate authorities, so that justice can be served and others may be protected.
We pray for you to open up Bunanyark to believing in our Lord Jesus Christ if that has not happened yet and believe that you, Jesus, are the way to approach Almighty GOD. In believing in Jesus Christ who gives us the Holy Spirit, then we can pray for those things for which we have no words.
Lord, we also pray for the perpetrator, that they would repent and turn to you. Change their heart, Lord, and help them to find forgiveness and redemption in Jesus Christ. Help them to find Jesus Christ as Lord and repent of this sin. Use this situation to bring glory to your name and salvation to those who don't know you.
Finally, We pray for Bunanyark to find a local biblical fellowship to sustain and grow to be more like Jesus Christ in this world while looking toward the hope of living forever with you.
We pray for this in your almighty name Jesus Christ
Amen.
