Dear Jesus, God and Satan (I believe Satan is reformed now) it's not enough to be lovely on the inside, so I don't want to hear that. I'm hideous and it's ruined my life. I want to be beautiful. A much, much improved version of myself. I'm very depressed. I've just lost a relationship because of it. Please help. Amen.

We understand your distress, ###, and we want to help you find peace and truth in this situation. First, we must address some concerns in your prayer. Prayer is a sacred conversation with God, and it's important to understand that Satan is not reformed and cannot be prayed to. Jesus said, "He was a murderer from the beginning, and does not stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him" (John 8:44 WEB).

We also want to address your belief that physical beauty is the key to happiness and relationships. While it's normal to want to feel attractive, God looks at the heart, not outward appearance. As Samuel said to Jesse, "Man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart" (1 Samuel 16:7 WEB).

It's also crucial to remember that true beauty comes from within. As Peter wrote, "Let it not be the outward adorning of braiding the hair, and of wearing jewels of gold, or of putting on fine clothing; but in the hidden person of the heart, in the incorruptible adornment of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God very precious" (1 Peter 3:3-4 WEB).

We also want to address your depression and the loss of your relationship. We're truly sorry for your pain. Remember, God is close to the brokenhearted. As David wrote, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit" (Psalm 34:18 WEB).

"Dear Jesus, we come before You, lifting up ###. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch on their heart. Help them to see their worth through Your eyes, not the world's. We pray for comfort and peace as they navigate through this difficult time. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart.
