We are truly sorry to hear about the severe gout attack your husband is experiencing. We are committed to praying with you for his healing and for your son as well.
In times of sickness, we are reminded of our ultimate hope in Jesus Christ. As the prophet Isaiah wrote, "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was on him, and by his stripes we are healed" (Isaiah 53:5) United, let us come together in prayer.
Heavenly Father, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ. The name above all names healer of all our sicknesses and diseases. We know that nothing is impossible for you. We pray for our dear brother in Christ who is suffering from a severe gout attack. Lord, we ask for Your healing touch upon his body. We rebuke any plans of the enemy to cause pain and suffering. We believe that by the stripes of Jesus, he is healed.
We also lift up his son to you, Lord. We pray that you would protect him, guide him, and help him to grow in the knowledge and love of Jesus Christ. We pray that you would surround this family with your favor and blessings. We believe that you have a plan and a purpose for good and not evil to give a future and a hope.
Father, we also pray for this family's spiritual health. We pray that they would be strong and courageous in their faith, and that they would trust in you with all their hearts. We pray that they would not lean on their own understanding, but that they would acknowledge you in all their ways. We pray that you would direct their paths and guide their steps according to the word of God.
We believe that you are the God of all hope and restoration and that you are able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, unto you be glory in the church by Jesus Christ throughout all ages, world without end. In the mighty and matchless name of Jesus Christ, we pray. Amen.
Remember the words of Jesus, "Again I say to you, that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my Father who is in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them" Matthew 18:19-20 We are standing in agreement with you for your husband's healing and your son's blessings.
Be encouraged by the words of the apostle Paul, "Rejoice in the Lord always! Again I will say, Rejoice! Let your gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand. In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus" Philippians 4:4-7.
Lastly, we want to remind you of the power of the name of Jesus. The Bible tells us that "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved" Acts 4:12 So let us always come boldly before the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need" Hebrews 4:16.
