Serious Spiritual Battle

Please pray for my adult son ###. There is a very serious spiritual battle going on in his life right now and I really need some hard core prayers for him. I see the grappling going on and I can see he doesn't know what to do (even with me telling him). His response to hearing things of Christ is almost like sprinkling holy water on a vampire. He gets angry, tense and combative. He also believes the King James Bible translation is evil (due to who King James was). He is battling loneliness, depression, anger, rage, severe negativity and addiction. I'm also really praying for a new group of friends for him who are not into drinking and drugging (but have a strong foundation of a belief in Jesus). He truly needs divine intervention. A Saul to Paul conversion if you will.

Ephesians 6:12 WEB reminds us, "For we are not wrestling with flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."

###'s negative reactions to the mention of Christ indicate the spiritual battle he is experiencing. As you have observed, he is grappling with multiple issues, including loneliness, depression, anger, rage, negativity, and addiction. These are all tools the enemy uses to keep him bound and away from the truth of the Gospel.

Let's pray for God’s intervention:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus Christ (the name above all names), lifting up ### to You. Lord, You see the spiritual battle he is facing, and You know the plans You have for him—plans for welfare and not for evil, to give him hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). We ask that you free him from the bondage of loneliness, depression, anger, rage, negativity, and addiction. Break every chain that the enemy has used to hold him captive.

Lord, we ask that you soften ###’s heart towards the Gospel. Remove the scales from his eyes and allow Him to hear the truth without anger and defensiveness. We pray that you reveal the Truth to him and Jesus Christ, Your Son, Who is the way, the truth, and the life and the only way to God. That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life (John 17:3) WEB. Lord, let your Love, Grace and Righteousness catch ### up into fellowship with Jesus Christ. Reveal to him how awesome You are. Free ### and save Him.

Surround ### with godly friends who will support and encourage him in his walk with You. Let him see You are able to put around ### and fill him with a love (John 15:15 and Romans 5:5 WEB) that passes his human understanding. May your people bring him to knowledge Jesus Christ who is the truth. Let him know the fellowship with Jesus and with one another which is a real life-giving relationship. Let him experience what it means to be a Believer. Let him see what it means to be a Christian who is Born Again by your Holy Spirit and the sincere milk of the Word. Lead him to all truth.

We ask for blessings over ###'s life according to Romans 15:13. Because of You, may he hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ, receive it, and abound in hope and power through the Holy Spirit. Also, we ask You cause him to be willing to obey Your will which always includes righteousness. Help him to go beyond only hearing Your Word to becoming a doer of Your Word which is for his best. Psalm 32:8 WEB I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will counsel you with my eye on you. Verse 9 Be ye not as the horse, or as the mule, which have no understanding: whose mouth must be held in with bit and bridle, lest they come near unto you. We ask for your grace will cover ### as he submits to You to teach him Your way. Cause him to see and know the difference between being rebellious and being a Believer. (James 2:14-26 WEB and especially verse 26).

We also pray for you, ###, that God will give you the strength, wisdom, endurance, and peace as you intercede for ###. May the Holy Spirit guide your words and actions as you continue to point ### towards Jesus Christ. Remind him that there is no other name under heaven, given among men, whereby he must be saved. (Acts 4:12 WEB, WEB Ephesians 3:4 and Ephesians 3:14 to 19).

Let us give thanks to God for His unfailing love and faithfulness. Though ### is facing a fierce battle, we trust that God is mighty to save and that He desires for all to come to repentance and knowledge of the Truth who is Jesus Christ. (2 Peter 3:9 WEB &1 Timothy 2:4 WEB).

Always remember, ###, that God is working even when we cannot see it. Trust in Him, and He will bring ### through this trial.

We're here with you, ###, standing in the gap for ###. Let's lift him up together before the throne of grace. We've been where you are, feeling the weight of a loved one's spiritual struggle. It's a heavy burden, but remember, our God is a mighty warrior who fights for us.

We've been praying for ###, asking God to send His angels to encamp around him, to protect him from the enemy's schemes. We've been interceding for a circumcision of his heart, that he may love the Lord with all his heart, soul, and strength, and that the scales would fall from his eyes, allowing him to see the truth clearly.

We've also been asking God to send ### godly friends who will walk alongside him, reflect Jesus' love, and speak the truth in love. We've been interceding for divine appointments, that God would orchestrate circumstances for ### to encounter believers who can share the Gospel with him and show him the reality of a life transformed by Christ.

We've been praying for a mighty outpouring of the Holy Spirit on ###, that he would experience the love of Christ in a tangible way, breaking the chains of loneliness, depression, anger, and addiction. We've been asking God to give ### a hunger and thirst for righteousness, and to draw him to the cross of Christ.

We've been reminding God of His promises, claiming them for ###. We've been claiming Psalm 91 over him, asking God to give him a spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of Jesus, to the glory of God. We've been praying for God to give ### a new song, a song of deliverance, as he experiences the power of the Gospel in his life.

We're here, ###, standing with you, believing with you for ###'s salvation and transformation. Let's keep praying, keep believing, and keep trusting in the power of our great God. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
