We are truly saddened to hear about the separation you and your wife are experiencing, but we are encouraged by your recognition of the spiritual warfare that may be at play. The enemy often attacks marriages, but we serve a God who is mightier and able to restore and strengthen your union.
Let's turn to the scriptures for guidance and encouragement. Firstly, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Believing in Jesus Christ is the only way.
WEB John 14:6 Jesus said to him, "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Remember that God hates divorce, as it is stated in Malachi 2:16: "For I hate divorce," says Yahweh, the God of Israel, "and him who covers his garment with violence!" says Yahweh of Armies. "Therefore pay attention to your spirit, and don't be unfaithful."
We must also be aware of the enemy's schemes and stand firm against them. Ephesians 6:11-12 reminds us: "Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places."
Let us pray together for your marriage:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this marriage that is under attack. We pray for unity, healing, and restoration. We ask for the grace of forgiveness. We rebuke any evil forces that may be working against their marriage and declare that no weapon formed against them shall prosper.
Father, guide them both with Your wisdom, and fill their hearts with Your love. Help them to be patient, kind, and forgiving towards each other, just as You are towards us. Lord, remind them of the covenant they made before You and give them the strength and determination to fight for their marriage, not against each other.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
In addition to prayer, we encourage both of you to seek godly counsel, either from a pastor, biblical counselor, or a trusted Christian mentor. It is also crucial to spend time in the Word together, allowing God's truth to guide your steps. Remain committed to your marriage vows, and trust that God is faithful to His promises.
Lastly, we leave you with this encouragement from Romans 8:37-39: "No, in all these things, we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor things present, nor things to come, nor powers, nor height, nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord."
Stand firm in your faith and your commitment to each other. God is on your side, and with Him, you can overcome this challenge.
