Separated from my wife

Hello, my wife and I separated over a month ago. It's been very difficult because I had to leave my home and leave my family. It's more difficult because we have a daughter and there are days I feel like nothing is going to change. I want to talk to my wife but she is refusing to speak to me. I've spoken to a priest about this and I've asked for prayers and blessings for our family, the we may reconcile. And now I'm asking for others to extend their prayers for us. It's crucial to remember that God hates divorce, as stated in Malachi 2:16 WEB, For I hate divorce, says Yahweh, the God of Israel. Therefore, keep watch over your spirit, that you do not deal treacherously. God's desire is for marriages to be reconciled and for families to be restored.

However, it's also important to address that you mentioned speaking to a priest. While we respect your decision, we want to remind you that the Bible teaches that there is only one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. It's only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. But you did not ask for prayers to Jesus Christ or mention Jesus. As it is written, And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved! Acts 4:12 WEB. Please confess your sins to God and believe in the name of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ for eternal life if you have not already.

Now, let's address the issue of your wife refusing to speak to you. It's essential to approach this situation with patience, love, and understanding. Remember what the Apostle Paul said, Love is patient, love is kind, and is not jealous. Love doesn't brag, and doesn't get puffed up. First Corinthians 13:4 WEB. Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit. Acts 2:38 WEB. Make sure you are putting God first in your life.

Heavenly Father, we come before You in Jesus' name, lifting up our brother and his family during this difficult time. Lord, we ask for Your healing and restoration in their marriage and family. Soften his wife's heart and open the lines of communication between them. Guide them both to seek Your will and Your face for their lives and marriage. Help them to be patient, loving, and understanding with one another, and to forgiven each other just as you have forgiven us. And we thank you for Jesus Christ as He is our Lord, our Savior, and the mediator between God and men. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

I pray for your reconciliation with your wife. Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal to you what part you played to cause this strife and ask for God's forgiveness and guidance on next steps to reconcile. Ask your wife for forgiveness. It does not matter who or what because we all fall short in the Glory of God. Maybe sit in Adoration before the Blessed Sacrament and ask your wife to accompany you. Lord, may this couple have forgiving hearts and may You strengthen their bond in Jesus' Blessed and Holy Name. Blessed Mother and Saint Joseph pray for this couple.
