Firstly, let's address the idea that God has not proven Himself to you. It's important to remember that God often works in subtle ways, and His presence is not always manifested in dramatic signs. Instead, He speaks to us through His Word, the Bible, and through the gentle nudges of the Holy Spirit. The fact that you are here, seeking, and praying, is a testament to God's work in your life.
The Bible tells us, For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future (Jeremiah 29:11 WEB). This verse reassures us that God has a plan and a purpose for each of us, even when we can't see it clearly.
Regarding the people who have hurt you, Jesus commands us to love our enemies and to pray for our persecutors (Matthew 5:44 WEB). This is not to justify their actions but to free you from the bondage of bitterness and hatred. Remember, God does not see them as worthless. He desires that all should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9 WEB).
When you mention that you have tried praying but do not get an answer, remember that prayer is a conversation with God. It's not just about asking for things but also about aligning our will with His. Sometimes, the answer is 'wait,' or 'no,' or 'I have something better for you.' Keep seeking Him with an open heart.
To help you with your self-worth and purpose, ask God for wisdom generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you (James 1:5 WEB).
Also, we noticed that you did not mention Jesus Christ in your prayer request. It is only through the name of Jesus that we have access to God. The Bible tells us, For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus (1 Timothy 2:5 WEB). There is no other name by which we can be saved (Acts 4:12).
