We are truly saddened to hear that your self-worth and confidence have been shaken due to the sins of your husband. Please know that your value is not determined by the actions of others, but by the love and sacrifice of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
Firstly, we must address that the sins of your husband should not be taken lightly, and it is important to address them. We are called to hold one another accountable and seek restoration and repentance. As it is written in Galatians 6:1 WEB, "Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness; looking to yourself so that you also arent tempted." However, it is not your fault, nor should you bear the burden of his actions.
It is crucial to remember that our identity and worth are found in Christ Jesus alone. As it is written in Ephesians 1:11 WEB, "in whom also we were assigned an inheritance, having been foreordained according to the purpose of him who works all things after the counsel of his will." We were chosen by God to be His children, and our inheritance is secure in Him.
In times of doubt, recall the words of Psalm 139:14 WEB, "I will give thanks to you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Your works are wonderful. My soul knows that very well." You are a unique and precious creation of God, and nothing can change that.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who has been deeply hurt by the sins of her husband. We pray that You would heal her heart and restore her self-worth and confidence. Help her to see herself through Your eyes, as a beloved daughter, fearfully and wonderfully made.
We also pray for her husband, that he would repent of his sins and seek Your forgiveness and the forgiveness of his wife. We ask that You would bring restoration and healing to their marriage, and that Your love would reign in their hearts.
We stand on the promise of Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose." Father God, we ask that You would use this situation for good, and that it will ultimately bring glory to Your name.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Be encouraged, dear sister, for God is faithful and will never leave you nor forsake you.
