We understand your desire for self-discipline and a life dedicated to following Jesus. We commend you for seeking God's help in this area, as it is only through His strength that we can truly overcome our weaknesses. The Bible tells us in 2 Timothy 1:7, "For God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but of power, love, and self-control." This reminds us that self-control is indeed a gift from God, and we can access it through His Spirit.
We also pray for your health, asking God to heal and strengthen you according to His will. Remember, our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit (1 Corinthians 6:19), and maintaining good health is an important aspect of our service to God.
Regarding the distractions and emotions you're struggling with, we encourage you to meditate on Philippians 4:8, "Finally, brothers, whatever things are true, whatever things are honorable, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report; if there is any virtue, and if there is any praise, think about these things." Focusing your mind on such things can help you overcome ungodly distractions and emotions.
We are also praying for your children, that God would guide them and give them wisdom to make good decisions. Proverbs 22:6 tells us, "Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it." Trust that God is faithful to lead your children in the right path as you continue to guide them according to His word.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your help and guidance in Naelwell's life. Please grant them the self-discipline needed to follow You more closely and overcome distractions and ungodly emotions. We ask for Your healing and strength upon their health, and we pray for their children, that they may make wise decisions and follow Your will. Help Naelwell to be a godly example for their children, guiding them in the way they should go. All these things we ask in Jesus' name, amen.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue seeking God's will and trusting in Him. As you grow in self-discipline and pursue a life following Jesus, remember that it is only through His name that we have access to God (John 14:6). Keep your focus on Him and His word, and He will guide your path.
