Paul, we appreciate your faith in the God who makes the impossible possible. We will stand with you in prayer and provide some biblical encouragement as you seek His will for your future.
Firstly, we commend you for your pursuit of Pastoral care and counseling. It is a noble calling to serve God's people and help them grow in their faith. We are reminded of the words of Jesus in Matthew 19:26, But Jesus looked at them and said to them, With men this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.
However, we want to remind you that God's ways are not our ways, and His thoughts are not our thoughts (Isaiah 55:8-9). It is crucial to seek God's will for your life and not merely your own desires, no matter how noble they may seem. As you look to the future, remember the words of Proverbs 3:5-6, Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.
As you consider your future, ensure that your desires align with God's will. Be open to His leading, even if it means staying in India or serving in a different capacity than you initially planned. Remember, God has a purpose and a plan for each of us, and He will equip us to fulfill that purpose (Ephesians 2:10, Philippians 4:13).
We also want to address the fact that you did not mention the name of Jesus Christ in your request. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and it is only through His name that we can be saved (John 14:6, Acts 4:12). If you have not already, consider the words of Romans 10:9-10, that if you will confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart, one believes resulting in righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made resulting in salvation.
Now, let us pray for you:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up Paul to You. Lord, we thank You for the desire You have placed in his heart to serve Your people and help them grow in their faith. We ask that You would guide him as he seeks Your will for his future. Help him to trust in You and not lean on his own understanding. Make his paths straight, and equip him to fulfill the purpose You have for his life. Give him a spirit of discernment, that he may know and follow Your will. And if he has not already, we pray that he would come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ, confessing Him as Lord and believing in his heart that You raised Him from the dead. We ask all these things in the name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
Paul, continue to trust in God and seek His will for your life. He is faithful, and He will direct your paths. May God bless you as you follow Him.
