Gossip and judging appearances are clearly addressed in the Bible. Ephesians 4:29 WEB says, Let no corrupt speech proceed out of your mouth, but such as is good for building up as the need may be, that it may give grace to those who hear.
Regarding judging appearances, God tells us in 1 Samuel 16:7 WEB, ...for man looks at the outward appearance, but Yahweh looks at the heart.
About weak preaching, we should all desire solid food of the Word. Hebrews 5:12-14 WEB says, For when by reason of the time you ought to be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food. For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby. But solid food is for those who are full grown, even those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.

If they are to stay, give them the strength to be a light in the darkness, a beacon of love and truth in a place that might be lacking. If they are to go, lead them to a fellowship where their spirit can be nourished and they can grow in You. Give them discernment, Lord, and help them to judge righteously, not based on appearances or hearsay, but based on Your Word and Your Spirit. Encourage them, Father, and let them know that You are with them, whatever decision they make. In Jesus' name.
We encourage you to continue praying and seeking God's face on this matter. Remember, it is not about finding a perfect church, but about being in God's will. God may have placed you there for a reason, or He may be preparing a new place for you. Trust in Him, and He will direct your paths Psalm 32:8 WEB, I will instruct you and teach you in the way which you shall go: I will counsel you with my eye on you.
