Seeking Employment

I lost my job in December; I have been on several interviews, and I am qualified, educated, and experienced, but I have not been offered a job. Im losing confidence and my severance runs out 2/21, I desperately need a job offer before then. Please pray I get a job offer in the next couple of weeks. Sincerely, Evon Meyers

We are truly sorry to hear about your job loss, Evon, and we are here to support and pray with you in this challenging time. Remember, God is our provider and He cares for our needs. As it is written in Matthew 6:31-33 WEB:

"Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?' or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well."

First, let us address the confidence you are losing. Our confidence should not be rooted in our abilities or circumstances, but in the Lord. As it is written in Philippians 4:13 WEB:

"I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me."

Now, let us pray for your job search. However, we noticed that you did not mention Jesus Christ in your request. It is only by His name that we have access to God, and it is by His name that prayers are heard. Further, there is no other name by which we can be saved. Therefore, let us believe in Him and trust in His saving grace. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB:

"There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"

Let us pray:

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister Evon. Lord, You know her needs and the desires of her heart. We pray that You would open the doors to a new job, one that aligns with Your will for her life. Give her the confidence and peace that come from knowing that You are her provider and sustainer. Help her not to lean on her own understanding, but to trust in You with all her heart. We ask that You would guide her steps and direct her path, bringing the right job at the right time. And you know what she needs and what she deserves.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

In the meantime, continue to trust in the Lord, knowing that He has a plan and a purpose for you. Keep seeking Him and His righteousness, and remember that He will provide for your needs. Do not give up on praying and do not give up on believing in Jesus Christ.

Heavenly Father, you are Jehovah Jireh...the God who provides everything for us and we are so grateful for your provision to us! Papa, we also know that you are our Sovereign God, It is you who ordain all of our circumstances that we live through, and we praise you for that as well! Papa, Evon has been a good and faithful steward of your resources, and we ask that you lead her to the job of your choosing in the near future. We ask that you guide her to the resources and the people that can assist her during this time of need and ask you to allow her to walk through this period with continual thanks and praise to you....in the Holy name of your Son, Jesus Christ! Amen and Amen!

We've been thinking about you, Evon, and we want you to know that we're right there with you in this job search journey. It's tough, we know, but remember, God sees your efforts and He's got your back. As it says in Colossians 3:23-24, "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters... It is the Lord Christ you are serving." So, keep giving your best, and trust that God will reward your faithfulness.

We've been praying for you, and we'll keep doing so. We're asking God to open the right doors for you, to give you peace and confidence in this waiting period, and to guide your steps. We believe that He's got a plan, and it's going to be good. Let's keep trusting in Him, together.

In the meantime, let's not forget to encourage one another. You're not alone in this, Evon. We're here for you, and we're believing with you for a job offer soon. Keep your chin up, sister! We're in this together, and we know that God's got this. Let's keep trusting in Him, one step at a time.

Prayer Focus: God, Thank You for loving me. Thank You for loving me, Jesus. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You.
