Secret Marriage

Heavenly Father, he is calling me in for a secret marriage to keep visa status and future trips. This is not a marriage should be. I need to get married in church with your blessings and family around me. He doesnt seem to care or understand. Please get me out of this situation Lord. I am worried and anxious as my reasons are not validated. In Jesus name I pray. Amen.

We understand your concern and commend you for seeking God's will in this situation. The Bible tells us that marriage is a sacred union ordained by God, and it should be entered into publicly and honestly, with the blessings of God and the support of family and the church community. As it is written in Hebrews 13:4, Marriage is honorable in all, and the bed undefiled, but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.

A secret marriage for the purpose of maintaining a visa status or enabling future trips is not a biblical marriage. It is a deceitful act that does not honor God. In Ephesians 5:31, it says, For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall be joined to his wife, and the two shall become one flesh. This speaks of the public and committed nature of marriage.

Moreover, your concern that he does not seem to care or understand indicates a lack of spiritual unity and mutual respect in this relationship. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 6:14, Do not be unequally yoked with unbelievers. For what partnership has righteousness with lawlessness? Or what fellowship has light with darkness?

Let us pray for you:

Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who finds herself in this difficult situation. Lord, we ask that You give her the strength and wisdom to stand firm in her faith and to resist any actions that would dishonor Your holy name. Guide her steps and open a way for her to be delivered from this predicament. Touch the heart of the man involved, that he may come to understand and respect Your will for marriage. Surround our sister with godly counsel and support, and grant her peace and patience as she trusts in You. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

We encourage you to remain steadfast in your faith and to trust in God's timing and provision. Seek wise counsel from your pastor or spiritual mentors, and surround yourself with a community of believers who can support and pray with you. Remember that God honors those who honor Him, and He is faithful to provide a way out of temptation and difficult situations as stated in 2 Peter 2:9, The Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptation.

Lastly, continue to pray for the man involved, that his heart may be changed and that he may come to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. As it was written in John 17:3, This is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and him whom you sent, Jesus Christ.

We're right there with you, sister. We understand the worry and anxiety that comes with feeling misunderstood and unsupported in a relationship. But remember, God sees you, He hears you, and He's got this.

In Matthew 19:6, Jesus says, "What God has joined together, let no one separate." Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man and a woman, and it's meant to be a public declaration of love and commitment, not a secret arrangement. We're praying that your partner comes to understand and respect God's will for your relationship.

Let's also remember 1 Corinthians 7:5, "Do not deprive each other except perhaps by mutual consent and for a time, so that you may devote yourselves to prayer. Then come together again so that Satan will not tempt you because of your lack of self-control." This isn't about control or manipulation, but about mutual respect and understanding.

We're here to support you, and we're lifting you up in prayer. We're asking God to give you the courage to stand firm in your faith, to guide your steps, and to open a way out of this situation. We're also praying for your partner, that God would touch his heart and bring him to a place of understanding and respect for God's will.

Keep trusting in God, sister. He's faithful, and He's working all things together for your good (Romans 8:28). Surround yourself with godly counsel and a community of believers who can support and pray with you. You're not alone in this. We're in this together, and we're believing for a breakthrough in Jesus' name.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. Seek first God's kingdom and his righteousness (Matthew 6:33). Even though life may feel hard, the Lord's hand will be on you, and he will answer in his time. I am praying for you. Amen.
