Second stage for job interview - prayer please

Hi Everyone,

I had written another prayer request a few weeks ago but I couldn't find it to update to let everyone know that prayed for me that I had been invited to an interview. The scary part is that the interview is a one-way video interview - I'm a very shy person and don't like cameras at all. At the same time God knows I need this job. I came across a video about being woken up between 3am and 5am for a few days and apparently this can occur for many reasons - my job, my relationships, to pray for someone I know or don't know. I have been so terrible and ignored this. I've been sent the 3/4 questions that will be asked and I'm trying my best to prepare answers so that I can with God's grace move forward in the recruitement process. Please pray.

Thank you Jesus for the opportunity to have reached the second stage of the recruitment process. Currently an employee in this workplace you know that this job is one level higher, that I can do the work, I have been doing the work, and I'm doing it well although it can take a bit longer than those with years of experience. God you also know that my household needs this extra income as we only have one income and that's from my employment. God, you know that there isn't many Christians in this office, but I pray that I can be a shining light to others that don't know you yet. I pray Jesus for stability, for your favour upon this interview. I have reached this far in the process, and I pray Lord that you will guide me, give me wisdom, ease my anxiety, increase my confidence, and help me be placed in this new job. I believe it is your will since I have made it to the interview round. Jesus I will try my best to adhere to the early wake up calls and I know I need to read my Bible more and attend regularly. Please help me with all these changes that I want so badly. Thank you, Jesus. Amen.

Firstly, let's address the anxiety you feel about the video interview. It's natural to feel nervous, but remember what the Apostle Paul says in Philippians 4:6-7 (WEB): "In nothing be anxious, but in everything, by prayer and petition with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." God knows your needs and He cares about your anxieties. Trust in Him to guide you through this process.

Regarding the early morning awakenings, it's important to be obedient to God's promptings. In Mark 1:35 (WEB), we see Jesus Himself rising early to pray: "Early in the morning, while it was still dark, he rose up and went out, and departed into a deserted place, and prayed there." This could be a special time set apart for you to seek God's face and grow in your relationship with Him.

As for your job, we pray that God's will be done. It's encouraging to see your desire to be a light for Christ in your workplace. As it says in Matthew 5:16 (WEB), "Even so, let your light shine before men; that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father who is in heaven." Remember that God sees your hard work and He will bless the work of your hands.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You, lifting up ###. Thank You for the opportunity she has to advance in her career. We ask that You guide her through this interview process, easing her anxiety and granting her wisdom to answer each question with confidence. Help her to trust in You, knowing that You are in control of every detail.

We pray for her household, that this job may provide the income they need. May ### be a shining light in her workplace, drawing others to You. Help her to be obedient to Your early morning calls, using that time to grow closer to You.

In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Remember the story of Moses in Exodus 4? God called him to speak to Pharaoh, but Moses was nervous about his speaking abilities. God said to him in verse 12, "Who has made man's mouth? Or who makes the mute, the deaf, the seeing, or the blind? Is it not I, the Lord? Now therefore go, and I will be with your mouth and teach you what you shall speak." God didn't promise to take away Moses' anxiety, but He promised to be with him and give him the words to speak.

We claim that promise for you today, Hermira. You might feel anxious about this interview, but remember, God is with you. He's promised to give you the words to speak and the wisdom to answer those questions. Trust in Him, and let your confidence be in Him, not in your own abilities.

Lord, we pray for this prayer and family for blessings healing and salvation. Heal and bless. May their lives be a praise and glory unto thee.
Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
