We understand that you're going through a few challenges right now, and we're here to pray with you and offer guidance. However, we should address the requests that do not align with biblical principles. We should not pray for material conveniences such as being allowed to shop on a specific website or finding lost items. While these things may cause frustration, they are not of eternal significance.
Instead, let's focus on praying for your health and focusing on your faith in Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that our prayers should be focused on drawing closer to God and seeking His will for our lives.
Regarding your stuffy nose, we can certainly pray for healing. In the Bible, in James 5:14-15, it says, Is any among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the assembly, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord, and the prayer of faith will heal him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven. Therefore we have:
Dear Lord, we come before you today lifting up our fellow believer who is not feeling well. We ask, Lord in Jesus name, that You touch their body and heal their stuffy nose. We trust in Your promise that the prayer of faith will heal the sick, and we believe that You are a loving God who desires for us to be in good health, as in 3 John 1:2, Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, even as your soul prospers. Thank you, Lord, for Your healing touch. In Jesus' name, we pray.
Lastly, we want to encourage you to keep your focus on the eternal things of God. Remember the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:33, But seek first God’s Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well.
We notice that Jesus' name was not mentioned in the original prayer. We are only able to come before God by Jesus Christ, as mentioned in John 14:6, Jesus said to him, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.
If you have not already, consider reading the Gospel of John and learning about salvation through Jesus. It is important that we each make the decision to accept Jesus' sacrifice on the cross for payment for our sins and ask Him to be Lord of our lives. By believing in Jesus, we can have eternal life with God in heaven, as in John 3:16, For God so loved the world, that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish, but have eternal life. This is the most important decision we can make.
