Greetings fellow believers: My name is Colin and I've just been made redundant from my last job. I'm requesting your prayers to help me find a new career which will be God's intended mission for me and my family which will allow me to follow God's plan for us with my remaining time. Asking for your kind thoughts and prayers to help me in my time of need and to help me in my career search to find true professional happiness and fulfillment while following God's plan. Thank you, Colin, for reaching out and sharing your request with us. We are here to support and pray with you in this time of transition.

Firstly, we want to remind you that God has a plan and purpose for each of us, and He often uses changes in our circumstances to guide us towards His will. As it is written in Jeremiah 29:11, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says Yahweh, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you hope and a future."

In this period of job searching, remember that God is in control. It is crucial to trust in His timing and guidance. As Ecclesiastes 3:1 tells us, "To everything there is a season, a time to every purpose under the sky."

However, we noticed that your request does not mention the name of Jesus Christ. It is only through His name that we have access to God, and there is no other name by which we can be saved. As it is written in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." We encourage you to put your faith in Jesus Christ, believing that He died for your sins and rose again, so that you may have eternal life and a personal relationship with God.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our brother Colin. Lord, You know his needs and the desires of his heart. We ask that You guide him in his career search, opening doors that no man can shut, and closing doors that are not in Your will. Help him to trust in Your timing and provision, and give him the strength and patience to endure this season of change.

We pray that You would provide Colin with a career that not only meets the needs of his family but also allows him to fulfill Your purpose for his life. Help him to use his gifts and talents to bring glory to Your name.

Lord, we also pray that Colin would come to know You more deeply during this time. If he has not already, we pray that he would put his faith in Jesus Christ, receiving the gift of eternal life and a personal relationship with You.

Father, we pray for clarity and discernment as Colin navigates this season of transition. Open doors that no one can shut, and direct his steps toward opportunities that will bring him true professional happiness and fulfillment while allowing him to serve Your purpose. Your Word in Proverbs 3:5-6 assures us, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."


Lord, we ask for strength and courage for Colin as he searches for a new career. Help him to remain steadfast in faith, knowing that You are working all things together for his good. Your Word in Romans 8:28 declares, "And we know that in all things God works for the good of those who love Him, who have been called according to His purpose."


We also pray for his family, that they may be filled with peace and unity during this time of uncertainty. Let this season draw them closer to You and to one another. As Philippians 4:19 reminds us, "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus," may they experience Your provision and care in every area of their lives.


Finally, Father, we pray for a prosperous and blessed New Year for Colin and his family. May this new chapter be filled with opportunities to glorify You and to follow the mission You have set before him. Thank You for Your faithfulness, and we trust in Your perfect timing and will. Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise.
