SCHIZOPHRENIC SISTER NEEDS NEUROSURGERY

Dear Lord,

Help me find a good neurosurgeon who specializes in cervical spine disorders. B has severe stenosis in her cervical spine + at least 1 or 2, possible more areas will have to be widened. This will involve moving spinal nerve roots temporarily aside while the bone is shaved down. The doc will also likely have to add a bone graft on top of the narrowed area to stabilized it. Nowadays a minimally invasive technique is available, but it is still a big deal.

We're praying this surgery, by relieving compression in the area, will eliminate or at least significantly reduce her constant dizziness, which has persisted for >5 years. I pray this will be so.

May she also tolerate the surgery well + have no complications, such as a psychotic break, infection, tissue or nerve damage, blood sugar crises d/t her diabetes, or delayed recovery time.

TY that we at least know of this problem now, + have the hope that surgery will lead to improvement.
