We understand that you're feeling scared about your upcoming oral surgery, Lerrys, and we want you to know that we're here to pray and support you. It's important to remember that God cares about every detail of our lives, even our fears and anxieties. In the Bible that reminds us of the following:
"Don't be anxious for anything, but in everything by prayer and pleading with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." Philippians 4:6-7 WEB
It's wonderful that you acknowledged Jesus in your request, for it is through His name that we have access to the Father. "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. If you believe that Jesus is the Son of God and that He died for your sins and rose again, you can have confidence that God hears your prayers. "If you will confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus, and believe in your heart that God has raised him from the dead, you will be saved." Romans 10:9 WEB
You mentioned that you have oral surgery. Whenever we have any ailment that needs repair, it is a result of the curse of sin. To fix this, Christ must return and repair our bodies and the Earth. "And as they heard these things, he added and spoke a parable, because he was near to Jerusalem, and they supposed that the Kingdom of God would be immediately revealed." Luke 19:11 WEB. We eagerly await His return.
The insurance and the partials are worldly concerns. We should not be focused on things of this world, but rather of eternity. For we brought nothing into the world, and we certainly can't carry anything out; but having food and clothing, we will be content with these things. 1 Timothy 6:7-8 WEB. We should be content with whatever God has given us. God will provide for our needs.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus, lifting up Lerrys as they prepare for oral surgery. We know that You are the Great Physician and that You have the power to heal and protect. We pray for Your steadfast Holy Spirit to descend upon them, filling their heart with peace and driving out all fear and anxiety.
We pray for the medical team that will be performing the surgery, that You will provide them wisdom and skill and guide their hands. We pray that the surgery will go smoothly and that Lerrys will have a swift recovery with minimal pain. We further pray that Lerrys needs are met, but more importantly that they are content with what You have provided.
Ultimately, we pray that Lerrys will fix their eyes on eternity and the return of Jesus Christ.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
