Firstly, let's address the fact that your request does not mention Jesus Christ. It's important to remember that it is only through Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 WEB: "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.'" Therefore, we should always pray in Jesus' name.

Now, let's look at what the Bible says about our needs and wants. In Matthew 6:8 WEB, Jesus says, "Therefore don’t be like them, for your Father knows what things you need before you ask him." God knows our needs before we even ask, but he also seeks to give his children higher gifts of love, charity and grace. Let us also not be quick to be anxiety filled about our lives, including what we shall wear as it is mentioned in Matthew 6:25 WEB: "Therefore, I tell you, don’t be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn’t life more than food, and the body more than clothing?"

Instead of focusing on the button, let's pray for a heart that trusts in God's provision and is grateful for the blessings we have. Let's also pray for opportunities to bless others and share the love of Christ during this Christmas season. We will form the prayer below.

Dear Heavenly Father,

We come before You in the name of Jesus, thanking You for Your love and care for us. Lord, you are sovereign to be Lord even over something small as a button so if it is Your will to have the button buttoned and not break then so be it but Lord we are praying for that grace, mercy and power which brings true salvation and a deep personal love relationship with you. Lord, help Lerrys to trust in Your provision and to have a heart of gratitude. Give Lerrys opportunities to bless others and share the love of Christ this Christmas season. Help her be kind to herself and to accept the changes that come as she cares for her health. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.

Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength and never fall out of love with You.
