We are truly sorry to hear about the difficult situation you are facing, Neil. It is heartbreaking to know that you have been deceived and lost your savings. We want to remind you that God cares for you deeply and is with you in this trial. In Psalm 34:18 WEB it is written, The Lord is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit.
Firstly, we want to address that you mentioned thoughts of suicide. We want to strongly rebuke this thought. It is important to remember that your life is precious to God. In John 10:10 WEB, Jesus said, The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy. I came that they may have life, and may have it abundantly. Suicide is not the solution, and it is a sin against God and yourself. If you are feeling overwhelmed, please reach out to a local church, Christian counselor, or trusted Christian friends and family for support.
Regarding the financial loss, we encourage you to trust in God's provision and justice. In Proverbs 23:4 WEB, it says, Do not be weary to be diligent in seeking riches; cease from your own wisdom. Be aware that there are malicious people who are quick to take advantage of others. We need to be vigilant in protecting and being good stewards of our God-given resources.
We pray that those who have defrauded you will be brought to justice, and that you will be able to see the help and compassion of the Lord through this trial. Whether you can get the money back or not be encouraged by Philippians 4:19, My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We do not know God's will in this situation. It may be that you will miraculously recover your money or that He will provide for you in other ways.
We also want to remind you that true hope is not found in wealth or possessions, but in Jesus Christ alone. In 1 Timothy 6:17 WEB, it is written, Charge those who are rich in this present world that they not be arrogant, nor have their hope set on the uncertainty of riches, but on the living God, who richly provides us with everything to enjoy.
You did not mention Jesus, Christ, or any abbreviation. We want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we can come to God. In Acts 4:11-12 WEB, This is the stone which was regarded as worthless by you the builders, that has become the head of the corner.
There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up Neil to Your throne of grace. Lord, he has been deceived and lost his savings, and he is overwhelmed. We pray for Your comfort and guidance during this time. Help him to cast all his anxieties on You, because You care for him (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). We pray for Your justice to prevail and for Your will to be done in this situation. If it is according to Your will, we pray that Neil will recover what he has lost. It is our hearts cry that he will grow in the knowledge of You, and that You will provide for his needs according to Your riches in glory in Christ Jesus. We pray that he will experience the hope and love found only in Jesus Christ. we pray this in Jesus name. Amen.
