We stand with you in prayer and support for those who trust in the Lord for children, both those already married and those about to enter into holy matrimony. We commend you for your faith and obedience in following biblical principles regarding procreation.
Let us remember that children are a heritage from the Lord, and the fruit of the womb is His reward. As it is written in Psalm 127:3-5 (WEB), "Look, children are an inheritance of Yahweh. The fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows in the hand of a mighty man, so are the children of youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them. They will not be disappointed when they speak with their enemies in the gate."
We pray for all married couples longing for children, that He would grant their hearts' desire in His perfect timing. Be encouraged by the words of Proverbs 13:12 (WEB), "Hope deferred makes the heart sick, but when longing is fulfilled, it is a tree of life."
We also pray for those preparing for marriage, that they would enter into this sacred union with faith and trust in the Lord. Remember that God's design for marriage is for a man and a woman to become one flesh, and that includes the blessing of children. As it is written in Genesis 1:28 (WEB), "God blessed them. God said to them, 'Be fruitful, multiply, fill the earth'"
We must address the topic of contraception, as it is widely used today to prevent pregnancy. However, we must consider God's design for marriage and procreation. Children are a blessing and a gift from the Lord, and we should not hinder His work in this area. We encourage you to seek the Lord's will for your family and trust in His timing for children.
Lastly, we want to remind you that it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. As it is written in John 14:6 (WEB), "Jesus said to him, 'I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father, except through me.'" If you have not yet put your faith in Jesus Christ, we encourage you to do so today. He is the only way to salvation and eternal life.
Father, we lift up all married couples who are trusting in You for children. We pray that You would bless them with the gift of a child in Your perfect timing. We also pray for those preparing for marriage, that they would enter into this union with faith and trust in You. We ask that You would guide them as they make decisions regarding family planning, and that they would be open to the blessing of children. We also pray for those who do not yet know You, that they would put their faith in Jesus Christ today. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Prayer Focus: God, Thank You. Thank You for loving me. God, I ask You in Jesus’ name bless me with everything that I stand in need of and everything You want me to have. Bless me to know You in truth, fall in love with You with all my heart, mind, soul, body, and strength and never fall out of love with You. Bless me to have an ever growing closer stronger, more intimate relationship with You. Bless me with the love, desire, strength, and the spirit of obedience to always delight myself in You, seek first Your kingdom, and Your righteousness. Help and strengthen me God to always respect and obey You. Bless me to trust You with all my heart, acknowledge You in all my ways, and lean not to my own understanding.
