We are truly heartbroken to hear about the struggles your family is facing due to your husband's addictions. We want you to know that you are not alone in this battle, and God is able to turn this situation around with repentence and submission to Jesus. Addiction is a form of bondage, and God desires to set your husband free. He wants to save your family.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of Jesus' name and His ability to break every chain of addiction. It is only in the name of Jesus that we have access to God the Father. Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB, There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men, by which we must be saved. Please tell your husband this message.
We also want to address the importance of your husband's role as the head of the household. As it is written in 1 Corinthians 11:3 WEB, But I would have you know that the head of every man is Christ; and the head of the woman is the man; and the head of Christ is God. Your husband needs to take responsibility for his actions and the impact they have on your family. We rebuke his actions of drinking alcohol, smoking, pawning, and indulging in excessive screen time. He has a responsibility to God to love, protect, and provide for your family as outlined in the scripture.
Let's pray together for your family:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the mighty name of Jesus, lifting up this family that is suffering due to the bondage of addiction. Lord, we ask that You break every chain of alcoholism, smoking, pawning, and screen addiction in this man's life. Give your husband a heart of repentance. Help him to see the error of his ways and turn away from them. Help him to see the pain he is causing his family and himself. Give him the courage to face his problems sober. In Jesus' name, we command the spirits of addiction and death to flee from his life. Surround this family with Your divine protection and healing power. Align your husband's steps to the path of righteousness for His name's sake.
Father, we also ask that You provide for this family's financial needs as well as the emotional and spiritual needs of their child and the pain and suffering their husband's wife is facing. Comfort them, guide them, and give them the strength to endure and overcome this trial. We ask this in Jesus Christ's name. Amen.
Encourage your husband to seek Godly counsel and support from other believers. Remind yourselves that God sitteth in the throne judging righteousness. Psalm 11:7 WEB. As believers, we have the victory in Christ Jesus and His finished work.
Please continue to stand in faith and trust in the Lord, for with God all things are possible and know that your husband's salvation is a heart matter and we cannot do that for him.
