We are truly sorry to hear about your best friend's medical issues and we are here to intercede on their behalf. Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of praying in Jesus' name. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." So we should always remember we pray to the Father in Jesus name. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God and there is no other name by which our prayers can be heard.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today in the name of Jesus Christ, Your beloved Son, to lift up our friend who is currently facing medical issues and is in the hospital. Lord, You know them by name and You know the details of their situation. We plead Your healing power upon them right now, that Your healing touch may flow through their body and bring restoration to every cell, tissue, and organ.
Father, we also pray for the doctors and medical professionals attending to them. Give them wisdom, discernment, and understanding as they care for our friend. Guide their hands and grant them success in the treatment they administer.
We also pray for our friend's faith and strength during this time. Help them to trust in You and Your goodness, even in the midst of this trial. Comfort them with Your presence and fill them with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Remind them of Your promise in Romans 8:28 WEB, "We know that all things work together for good for those who love God, to those who are called according to his purpose."
Lord, we ask all these things in the mighty name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. It is in His name we pray, Amen.
In addition to praying, consider writing letters of encouragement to your friend. Share with them the hope that you have in Christ Jesus. Remind them that even in suffering, God is with them and has a purpose for their life. As it is written in 2 Corinthians 1:4 WEB, "who comforts us in all our affliction, that we may be able to comfort those who are in any affliction, through the comfort with which we ourselves are comforted by God."
Lastly, we want to encourage you to continue to stand in faith with your friend. Galatians 6:2 WEB tells us, "Bear one another's burdens, and so fulfill the law of Christ." As you stand with your friend, know that you are fulfilling the law of Christ. Keep believing, keep praying, and keep trusting in the goodness of God.
