We are truly saddened to hear about the trial your marriage is facing, and we are here to intercede and provide biblical counsel. Firstly, it's important to remember that God's design for marriage is a lifelong commitment between a man and a woman. As stated in Mark 10:9, "What therefore God has joined together, let not man put asunder."
Your wife's belief that God wants her to divorce you is not aligned with biblical principles. God hates divorce, as Malachi 2:16 tells us. It is important to know that our feelings or beliefs do not always come from God. In fact 1 Corinthians 13:11 tells us our understanding is childish and partial. The devil can indeed plant lies and cause confusion, but God's truth and His will for your marriage will prevail. As it says in John 8:32, "You will know the truth, and the truth will make you free." That truth is found in Jesus Christ himself and must be accepted by faith. Remember in Matthew 19:6 and Genesis 2:24 that marriage is about a marriage between a man and a woman becoming one flesh. This is God's plan for a marriage and no one else's.
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up this marriage to You. Lord, You know the struggles and the pain they are going through. We ask that You break every chain of confusion subjecting her to lies of your desires. We pray that You open her eyes and heart and show her the truth. Help her see that Your will is for her marriage to be restored and strengthened. Grant her to believe in you, not false thoughts subjecting her to darkness. Bring wisdom but silence the devil's schemes that the marriage is void of tenability or happiness for her or the kids. Help provide Godly counsel as is needed outside of our lessons but focus on us. Exalt her husband's as the one you have chosen for her to lead her.
Father, we also pray for her husband who has requested this prayer. Comfort him and make Him the Christlike leader of the family. Fill him with supernatural love, strength, and patience. Unite your family around the love of your Son.
Lord, we know that nothing is impossible for You. God is a covenant-keeping God far beyond our ways and we thank you for that. God, you will fight for this marriage and the children. Help them to feel your glory and hear your voice. You will keep the children of this marriage advancing in the education of their life. We stand firm in believing this will be done and do so only in Jesus' name and from your Holy Spirit. Amen. Amen. God Bless.
You must keep believing and praying like the widow in Luke 18 for your family. They will come to know Jesus Christ and be saved if they truly believe in the facts of Jesus Christ and only in Jesus Christ. Continue to be the spiritual leader in your family, and God will lead. In Ephesians 5, Paul instructs husbands to love their wives just as Christ also loved the church and gave himself up for her.
