We are truly sorry to hear about the struggles you're facing in your marriage and the loss of your mother. We are here to pray with you and provide biblical guidance.
Firstly, we want to remind you of the power of prayer and the importance of invoking the name of Jesus Christ. As it is written in John 14:13-14 WEB, "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." It is through Jesus that we have access to God, and it is in His name that we find salvation. As the Bible says "there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved" WEB Acts 4:12.
In times of trouble, we should call upon His name. Joel 2:32 WEB says, "It will come to pass, that whoever will call on the name of Yahweh shall be delivered".
Regarding your marriage, we encourage you to remain steadfast in your commitment. Marriage is a sacred covenant between a man, a woman and God, as described in Matthew 19:5-6 WEB, "'For this cause a man shall leave his father and mother, and shall join to his wife; and the two shall become one flesh.' So that they are no more two, but one flesh. Therefore what God has joined together, don't let man tear apart."
We pray that God will strengthen your bond and rekindle the love you shared. Remember, love is not just a feeling, but a commitment. As God's word says in Ephesians 5:25 WEB, "Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the assembly, and gave himself up for it". This is a self sacrificing love that is for better or for worse.
Additionally, we encourage you to trust in God's plan for your life and not to fear loneliness. Psalm 147:3 reminds us that "He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds". God is faithful and will provide for all your needs. You might be in a tough place, but this is a trial in which God can show Himself strong. He will not leave you alone.
As for your grandsons, pray for them and trust that God will give you the wisdom to speak into their lives. Remember the instructions from Psalm 78:4 WEB, "We will not hide them from their children, telling to the generation to come the praises of Yahweh, his strength, and his wondrous works that he has done".
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, lifting up our sister who is in need of Your divine intervention. Lord, we pray for her marriage, that You would heal and restore it. We ask for a fresh outpouring of love and commitment to each other. We pray for our sister that she would be filled with peace, hope, and strength. We pray for her grandsons as well. We ask that you would help her be able to speak into their lives with love, truth and wisdom. We pray for her husband that he would be open to reconciliation and be convicted of any hurtful issues he may have caused. We pray that he would come to the knowledge of the truth of Jesus Christ and the gospel if he does not already know. We pray that You would turn this trial into triumph and use it for Your glory.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
