We join you, Richmar, in lifting up your husband and your marriage in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus' name. We appreciate your humility and the specifics of your request. It is only by the name of Jesus that we can approach God the Father, and it is by His named that we are saved according the following verses:
Be it known unto you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom ye crucified, whom God raised from the dead, even in him doth a man must be saved. Acts 4:10 And in none other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, wherein we must be saved. Acts 4: 12
Firstly, we praise God for your desire to see healing and restoration in your marriage. We pray that God will indeed remove all hurt, bitterness, and the desire for alcohol and marijuana, replacing them with love, forgiveness, and peace. It reminds us of Ephesians 4:31-32 WEB Let all bitterness, wrath, anger, outcry, and slander, be put away from you, with all malice. And be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you.
We ask for God to work a miracle in his heart to set him free from the bondage and addiction of drinking and fornication. We pray for God to deliver him while praying the words in Isaiah 51:17-18 Have you not heard? Have you not understood the foundations of the earth? It is he who sits above the circle of the earth, and the inhabitants thereof are as grasshoppers; who stretches out the heavens as a curtain, and spreads them out as a tent to dwell in; who brings princes to nothing; who makes the judges of the earth like nothing.
We are praying for God to help him grow into his role as the spiritual leader of your family. We pray according to the words in Ephesians 6 that he may grow as a father and husband being filled with the Spirit and the strength of God. May he be able to withstand the enemy's fiery darts and stand completely armed in the armor of God. May he become a servant leader Eph 5: 10
We intercede for your husband's work, asking God to continue blessing him and growing his career.
May the Holy Spirit inspire his songwriting, still remembering the Words from Colossians 3:16 Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly; in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your heart to God.
We join with you in asking for greater respect and harmony in your family, remembering the words of Jesus in Mark 12:31 The second is like this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no other commandment greater than these. Rev 12:10-11
Finally, we lift up your marriage, praying for blessing and protection over your relationship.
In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ, we break every chain, every stronghold, and declare your husband free from alcoholism and drug addiction, trusting in the promises of Galatians 5:1 WEB: For freedom Christ has set us free. Stand firm therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery.
Father, we ask that You bless this marriage and guide Richmar and her husband in Your will. May we pray that they study Your Word together and with their family and provide strength needed and instill and strengthen their faith until He comes. We pray that Jesus be the Lord and center of the family and trust in the guidance of the Holy Spirit. We thank you for the work you have already done and for the victories that are to come. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
