Save ### and restore marriage

My husband filed for a divorce but I still love him. He is a captive of sexual sin, using prostitutes throughout our ### year marriage. I pray for his salvation firstly and then if it's in accordance with God's Will the restoration of our marriage. I pray that he is counseled by strong Christian men as he does not consider what he does as sin.

Firstly, we want to acknowledge your heart's desire for your husband's salvation. This is indeed the most important thing, as Jesus said, "For what will it profit a man, if he gains the whole world, and loses his own soul? Or what will a man give in exchange for his soul?" (Mark 8:36-37 WEB). We commend you for your love and concern for him.

However, we must address the grave issue of sexual sin in your marriage. God's design for marriage is for one man and one woman to be joined together, and sexual intimacy is to be exclusively enjoyed within this sacred union (Hebrews 13:4 WEB). Your husband's actions are not only hurtful to you but also grievous to God. It is crucial that he recognizes this as sin and turns away from it.

Let's pray together:

"Dear Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ. We lift up ###'s husband to You, praying for his salvation. Open his eyes to the truth of the Gospel, and convict him of his sins. Draw him to You, Lord, and give him a heart of repentance. We encourage you to continue praying fervently for your husband. Remember, "The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results" (James 5:16 WEB). Also, seek support from your local church body. They can provide counsel, accountability, and intercession for your husband and your marriage.

Lastly, we want to remind you that God is faithful, and He can turn even the most difficult situations around for His glory. Trust in Him, and He will sustain you through this trial. "Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus" (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB).
