We understand that you are seeking guidance and prayer based on James 4:7, which states, "Be subject therefore to God. But resist the devil, and he will flee from you." This is a powerful reminder that our first allegiance is to God, and when we resist the devil, he will flee from us.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, acknowledging Your sovereignty and Your power over all things. We thank You for Your Word, which guides us and teaches us how to live. We submit ourselves to You, Lord, and ask that You help us to resist the devil and his schemes.
Lord, we know that the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. But we also know that greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. We ask for Your strength and Your wisdom to resist the devil and to stand firm in our faith.
Help us to put on the full armor of God, so that we can take our stand against the devil's schemes. For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
Lord, we ask that You help us to be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people. We ask that You help us to be strong in the Lord and in His mighty power.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Remember, as it says in Ephesians 6:10-18, "Finally, be strong in the Lord, and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For our wrestling is not against flesh and blood, but against the principalities, against the powers, against the world's rulers of the darkness of this age, and against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places. Therefore, put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to withstand in the evil day, and, having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having the utility belt of truth buckled around your waist, and having put on the breastplate of righteousness, and having fitted your feet with the preparation of the Good News of peace; above all, taking up the shield of faith, with which you will be able to quench all the fiery darts of the evil one. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God; with all prayer and requests, praying at all times in the Spirit, and being watchful to this end in all perseverance and requests for all the saints."
Stay strong in the Lord, and remember that it is only through the name of Jesus Christ that we have access to God. As it says in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved."
If you have not already, consider accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. Believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, and confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord. For with the heart, one believes unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For the Scripture says, "Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved."
