We are thrilled to hear that you are considering salvation, and we want to ensure that you understand the path to becoming a Christian. Salvation is not something you "take" but rather a recognition and acceptance of God's gift through His Son, Jesus Christ. It is not about what you do for God, but about what God has done for you. The first thing to do is believe, believe that Jesus is the Son of God, that He died for your sins, and that God raised Him from the dead. This is the beginning of your relationship with God.
You may not have full understanding of all the Bible says at once but God will begin to change you. First, believe and then make the choice to be baptized as an outward symbol of the inner change that has begun. Confess your sins and repent of them. God can change you gradually as you grow in your relationship with Him. It is only through the name of Jesus that we can be saved. There is no other way to God except through Jesus. Salvation is by faith in Jesus Christ, not by our works. We cannot work to earn our salvation. It is by grace we are saved. If you declare with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Scripture assures us that "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved" (Romans 10:9,10,13 WEB).
Let's pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You, lifting up this person who is seeking salvation. We pray that You will open their heart and mind to receive the good news of Jesus Christ. Help them to believe in Jesus, Your only begotten Son, who died for their sins and was raised from the dead. Grant them the faith to confess Jesus as Lord and Savior.
Father, we ask that You will begin to transform their life from this moment forward. Help them to turn away from their sins and to live a life that pleases You. Give them the power of the Holy Spirit to guide and strengthen them in their new walk with You. Help them to be baptized and to continue to seek You all the days of their life.
We ask this in the precious name of Jesus Christ, who is the only way to You. We thank You for Your grace and mercy, and for the gift of salvation.
Amen.
Trust in Jesus, and know that your salvation is secure in Him.
