Heavenly Father,
We come before You with a heart burdened by pain and fear, but also with faith in Your power to heal, protect, and deliver. You are a God of justice and compassion, and Your Word reminds us in Psalm 34:18, "The Lord is close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit." Today, we ask You to draw near to Your child and bring comfort and safety during this difficult time.
Lord, we lift up their father to You, asking for a radical transformation of his heart and mind. Only You can bring true repentance and healing, Lord. In Ezekiel 36:26, You promise, "I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh." Soften his heart, break down the barriers of pride and control, and help him see the truth of Your Word—not as a tool for manipulation, but as a source of love, repentance, and redemption.
We pray that You would free this family from the chains of abuse and manipulation. In 2 Corinthians 3:17, it says, "Where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom." Father, we ask for freedom—emotional, physical, and spiritual—for this family. Break the control that has caused pain and fear, and lead them to a place of safety and peace. If it is necessary for them to separate from the influence of the father, provide them with the resources, support, and courage to do so.
We ask for protection over their baby. Just as You protect us under Your wings, as promised in Psalm 91:4, we pray that You shield this child from any harm or danger. Guide this parent with wisdom and discernment to make decisions that keep their family safe. Let them be bold in protecting their child and establishing healthy boundaries, even when it’s difficult.
Father, we ask You to silence the voice of manipulation and any misuse of Your Word. Isaiah 54:17 declares, "No weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you." Let this truth be their shield. When they face spiritual or emotional attacks, remind them that You are their defender, and no lie or manipulation can stand against Your truth.
We pray for practical support to come their way. Send people who can help them move forward—whether it be friends, family, or community resources. Open doors for financial stability, a safe place to live, and emotional healing. In Philippians 4:19, You promise to meet all our needs: "And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of His glory in Christ Jesus." We trust that You will provide everything necessary to bring them into a place of safety and freedom.
We also pray for healing from the emotional wounds caused by the abuse. Lord, bring peace to their mind and spirit, as You promise in Isaiah 26:3, "You will keep in perfect peace those whose minds are steadfast, because they trust in You." Replace fear with confidence, pain with healing, and uncertainty with the assurance that You are their refuge.
Father, as they walk this difficult path, strengthen their faith. Remind them that they are never alone and that You will fight for them. In Exodus 14:14, You promised, "The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still." Help them to trust that You are their protector, their provider, and their deliverer.
We ask all this in the powerful name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
