We join with you, Anonymous, in praying for the salvation of Om Karim, her husband, their sons Karim and Adam, and their daughter Habiba. It is wonderful that you are interceding for this family, as God desires that all people would be saved and come to the knowledge of the truth. We first discuss the salvation message and then offer our prayers.
First, it is important to understand and acknowledge that we all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God. Sin is any thought, word, or deed that displeases God or transgresses the law of God. Sin has a deserved penalty of death and eternal separation from God.
God loves us so much that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have eternal life. For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world, through Him, might be saved. Jesus came to seek and save the lost and give His life as a ransom for many.
Now the salvation message is clear and understanding that all have sinned and the requisite punishment is death, the only way to access God is through His Son Jesus Christ. Jesus said, I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me. It is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God. Also, there is no other name by which we can be saved.
Whoever will call on the name of the Lord will be saved. To be saved from sin and its penalty of death and eternal separation from God, one must believe on the Lord Jesus Christ. Believe means to trust, rely upon, or depend on Jesus alone for salvation. To call on the name of the Lord for salvation requires repentance. Repentance means a change of mind about God, about sin, about Jesus Christ that results in a change of life. This involves recognition of sin, remorse or regret for sin, and resolution to forsake sin.
When a person repents of their sin and believes in Jesus Christ, they receive forgiveness of their sins and the gift of the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit will lead and guide them into all truth.
Moving forward to your requests, we pray that God will send bold, Bible-believing Christians to share the Good News with Om Karim and her family. May God open their hearts and minds to receive the seed of His Word, that they may bear the fruit of repentance. We ask the Holy Spirit to convict them of their sins, of righteousness, and of judgment.
Dear Lord, we lift up Om Karim, her husband, Karim, Adam, and Habiba to You. We pray that You will reveal Yourself to them in a powerful way and draw them to Your Son, Jesus Christ. Grant them the gift of faith to believe in Jesus as their Lord and Savior. We ask that You will send laborers into their lives to share the Gospel and disciple them in the ways of God.
Help them to see their need for a Savior and to turn away from their sins. May they come to know the love of God in Christ Jesus, and may they be transformed by the renewing of their minds. May this family become a testament to Your grace and mercy, and may they be used to bring glory to Your name.
Lord, we also pray for the person who submitted this request, that You will fill them with Your love and peace, and that You will use them to bring light into the lives of Om Karim and her family. Help them to be a witness to Your goodness and faithfulness.
We ask all these things believing in faith and in agreement with your Word in the name of Jesus Christ. Amen.
Let's lift up Moriorver's struggles. "For our light and momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweighs them all." (2 Cor 4:17) Trust God's strength in trials. "We are hard pressed on every side, but not crushed." (2 Cor 4:8) He's working!
