We understand that you are seeking salvation for your family and deliverance from their harmful behaviors. We stand with you in prayer, trusting in the power of Jesus Christ to transform even the most difficult situations.
Firstly, we commend you for your forgiving spirit, as Ephesians 4:32 tells us, Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving each other, just as God also in Christ forgave you. Remember, forgiveness is not about excusing their behavior, but rather releasing the offense to God and trusting Him to deal with it justly.
However, we must address that the behaviors you've described—resentment, anger, betrayal, arrogance, deceit, and abuse—are not of God. They are evidence of the sinful nature that needs redemption. As it is written in Galatians 5:19-21, Now the works of the flesh are obvious, which are: adultery, sexual immorality, uncleanness, lustfulness, idolatry, sorcery, hatred, strife, jealousies, outbursts of anger, rivalries, divisions, heresies, envyings, murders, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these; of which I forewarn you, even as I also forewarned you, that those who practice such things will not inherit the Kingdom of God.
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, the only name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:12). We plead the blood of Jesus over this family, asking that You open their eyes to their sins and draw them to true repentance. Lord, You are merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abounding in loving kindness (Psalm 103:8). We ask that You extend Your mercy to this family, breaking the chains of resentment, anger, and abuse.
We pray that You protect them, cover all their problems or needs, and open their eyes to their mistakes. Lord, we ask that You exterminate and expire all these problems, restoring this family only through Jesus Christ.
Father, we also pray for the one who submitted this request. Strengthen them in their faith, fill them with Your love, and give them the wisdom and discernment needed to navigate this difficult situation. Help them to continue forgiving, even as You forgive us.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
We encourage you to continue in prayer, trusting that God is at work. Remember the words of James 5:16, The effective, earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.
