We are joining you in prayer for your sister and brother, trusting that God's will be done in their lives. Let us first address the importance of praying in the name of Jesus. "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." If you had not known this already, it is only by the name of Jesus that we have access to God.
Regarding your sister, we pray that God will guide her in His will for her life. While marriage is a blessed institution ordained by God, it is also important to trust in His timing. Let us pray for her to find God's will and to find a spouse if this is the will of God for her. The Bible tells us, "Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. For you are a vapor, that appears for a little time, and then vanishes away." Therefore, do not worry about her age because this is in God's hands.
For your brother, we pray that God will reveal His will for your brother to him. We pray that your brother will walk in the paths that God has set for him and that he will do that which is righteous in God's eyes. We trust that God will give you all wisdom to direct your household to honor Him.
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, lifting up our sister and brother. Lord, we ask that You show them Your mercy and reveal Your will for their lives. For our sister, we pray that if it is Your will, You would provide a godly spouse and a blessed marriage. For our brother, we pray that You guide his steps and direct his paths. Help them both to trust in You and to follow Your ways. We ask this in Jesus' name.
In Jesus' name, we pray that You show our household mercy, that indeed the world will know that You answer prayer. We thank You for Your faithfulness and Your love. We ask for favor and strength to be obedient to the calling You have placed on our lives.
We pray for wisdom for our household and that You will show our brother and sister great mercy. We pray for them to be made righteous by the blood of Jesus and that you work in their lives.
We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen.
Be encouraged by the words of Jesus in John 14:13-14: "Whatever you will ask in my name, that will I do, that the Father may be glorified in the Son. If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." Trust that God is at work in their lives, and He will direct their paths according to His will.
