Corgwel, we join you in lifting up Walter in prayer, seeking God's mercy and healing for both his physical and spiritual needs.
Firstly, we pray for Walter's health. We know that God is able to heal all manner of sickness and disease, as it is written in Psalm 103:3, "who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." We pray that God will touch Walter's body and mind, restoring his strength and faculties, according to His will.
However, we also recognize that physical healing is temporal, and spiritual healing is eternal. We are concerned for Walter's salvation, as you mentioned. We read in Acts 4:12, "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved." That name is Jesus Christ. We pray that if Walter does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, that God will open his heart to receive the good news of the Gospel. We pray that God will grant Walter the faith to believe in Jesus, who died for our sins and was raised for our justification (Romans 4:25).
Let us pray together:
Heavenly Father, we come before You in the name of Jesus Christ, asking for Your mercy and grace upon Walter. Lord, You know his struggles with dementia and the effects of the stroke. We ask for Your healing touch upon his body and mind. But more importantly, Lord, we pray for his spiritual healing. If Walter does not know Jesus as his Lord and Savior, we ask that You open his heart to the Gospel. Grant him the faith to believe in Your Son, that he may be saved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
Corgwel, we encourage you to share the Gospel with Walter, as the Lord leads. Be assured that we are standing with you in prayer, trusting that God will work out His good purposes in Walter's life.
