We understand your concern, Karen, and we're here to intercede with you in prayer. However, before we proceed, we want to remind you of the words of Jesus in Matthew 6:25-34 (WEB): "Therefore, I tell you, don't be anxious for your life: what you will eat, or what you will drink; nor yet for your body, what you will wear. Isn't life more than food, and the body more than clothing? See the birds of the sky, that they don't sow, neither do they reap, nor gather into barns. Your heavenly Father feeds them. Aren't you of much more value than they? ... Therefore don't be anxious, saying, 'What will we eat?', 'What will we drink?', or, 'With what will we be clothed?' For the Gentiles seek after all these things, for your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first Godโs Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well. Therefore, don't be anxious for tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Each day's own evil is sufficient."
We pray this for you:
"Father in heaven, we come before you in the name of Jesus Christ to lift up our sister Karen. Lord, you know her needs, her bills, and her rent. We ask that you remind her boss to release their salaries promptly. But more importantly, Lord, help Karen to trust in you and seek your kingdom first. Let her find peace and comfort in knowing that you are her provider and that you care for her even more than the birds of the sky. We ask this in Jesus' name. Amen."
Karen, we encourage you to keep your focus on God and his kingdom. Trust that he will provide for your needs as you continue to serve him faithfully. And remember, it's in the name of Jesus that we have access to the Father (John 14:6). If you haven't already, make sure to cultivate a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. He is our savior and the only way to God.
