Safety for my daughter’s roommate

Please pray for my daughter’s roommate. She is on her way back to college and her car has broken down on the side of the turnpike. Please pray that the police get there quickly to get her off the freeway and for wisdom for them as to how to help her.

We understand your concern for your daughter's roommate and we join you in prayer for her safety. Let's bring this situation before the Lord, trusting in His care and protection.

"Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)

Lord Jesus, we come before You to lift up this young woman who is stranded on the turnpike. We ask for Your divine protection over her. Please send help quickly, Lord, and let the authorities be filled with wisdom and kindness as they assist her. We pray that You would guide them in their decisions and actions, and that Your peace would guard her heart and mind during this stressful time. We also pray for the safety of the other drivers on the road, that no further incidents would occur.

We are also reminded of the promise in Psalm 91:11-12, "For he will command his angels concerning you to guard you in all your ways. They will lift you up in their hands, so that you won't strike your foot against a stone."

Lord, we trust that You are with this young woman, just as You are with each one of us. We ask that You would make Your presence known to her, comforting her and reminding her that You are a very present help in times of trouble (Psalm 46:1). We pray that this situation would be resolved swiftly and safely, and that it would be a testament to Your faithfulness and love.

Lastly, we pray that this experience would draw her closer to You, Lord Jesus. If she does not already know You as her personal Savior, we pray that she would come to know the saving grace that is found only in Your name.

In Jesus' name we pray, Amen.

MKG, we encourage you to continue praying and trusting God for her safety. He is faithful and He hears our prayers. Also, remember to encourage your daughter and her roommate to fix their eyes on Jesus, trusting Him in every situation (Hebrews 12:2).

God heal me, body, soul, and spirit. Cleansed me of everything in my life that doesn't honor You. Transform and renew my mind. Bless me with love, power, and a sound mind. Let the mind that is in Christ Jesus be in me. God be with me as a mighty warrior. Let no weapon formed against me prosper. Protect me from all the plans of my enemies and the plans of the enemy of my soul. God all that I have asked of You, in this prayer, please do the same for the writer of the prayer, all those who love and care about me, pray Your best for me, and all those I love and care about.
