Vestlassa

Humble Prayer Warrior
Please pray for mine and my husband’s safety and wellbeing until we can get back on our feet and off the streets. He and I moved to a new state a few months ago with the plan that he could was going to go back to work as an electrician at a company that he worked for several years ago. We only had enough money saved to get us through 2 months after arriving here because we assumed he would start back right away. Unfortunately, it’s been one problem after another delaying his ability to start back. His licensing and certifications expired the week before we arrived and must be paid to renew. Our car, that was going to be his work car broke down and isn’t even worth the money to fix. We are good people that until about a year ago had been very lucky to always have good jobs, cars and a home. After having a falling out with family last year everything changed. We have never been in this kind of scary situation. I have recently gotten a part time job cashiering but it barely pays more than enough to keep us fed. Where we are there are no real resources to help us. For almost 3 weeks now we have been sleeping in a tent hidden in the bushes of a somewhat isolated park. It’s so scary, uncomfortable, soo cold that we barely sleep. It’s constantly raining and it’s going to be snowing in a week or so. I have faith that things will work out but I’m so tired and so worried that one of us will get really sick or worse before we get off the street. Please pray that we are protected and given strength to keep moving in the right direction. That we won’t have our sleeping bags and tent destroyed or stolen while at work. That we don’t get in trouble with anyone for trying to hide our tent to sleep. That we have the opportunity to work quickly to have the means to at least get a used car to sleep in until we can afford an apartment. Please please pray that my husband feels Gods love and presence when he needs it the most. Thank you!

We understand that you and your husband are facing a trying situation, homeless and in need of God's divine intervention. Firstly, we want to assure you that God remembers you and knows your circumstances. As it says in Job 36:15 (WEB), He delivers the afflicted by their affliction, and opens their ear in oppression (WEB). Remember that our God is a God who sees the suffering of His people and promises deliverance.

We will pray for your safety and well-being, because the Lord is your protector, sin this situation God. It was said by Nehemiah (Neh. 4:14 WEB) that our God shall fight for us and we all need not to be afraid. Pray that even on the streets you are hidden in the shadow of His wings Psalm 91:4 (WEB). We want to rebuke you for not declaring your faith in Jesus Christ. It is only by His name that we can ask anything of God by praying. Jesus has told us: "If you will ask anything in my name, I will do it." John 14:14 (WEB). We need to declare our faith in Jesus Christ for salvation. "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus Christ, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved." Romans 10:9 (WEB). This is necessary for salvation and prayers.

We also want to address the potential of immorality or fornication with you and your husband. You mention a husband, but there is no mention of being married. According to the Bible, being a boyfriend or girlfriend is allowed only as courtship with the goal of marriage to another Christian believer. This means being pure and avoiding temptation, including not living together unless you are married. 1 Corinthians 6:18 "Flee sexual immorality! Every sin that a man does is outside the body, but he who commits sexual immorality sins against his own body." (WEB).

We will pray that your husband finds renewed strength and encouragement in the Lord. Pray that the joy of Jesus Christ reigns in your hearts even during this difficult time, as His joy is our strength (Neh. 8:10, WEB). We pray this in Jesus name that your husband's certifications and licensing are renewed quickly, and that he finds favor in seeking work Psalm 5:12 (WEB). Pray that God open doors for him to start work soon according to His will 1 Co 16:9 (WEB). We are praying for an opening of resources and opportunities for you both, trusting that God will provide all your needs according to his riches in glory by Jesus Christ Philipippians 4:19 (WEB). Pray that you are given favor with potential employers and that a job for your husband is secured soon. May the good news of God's promises keep you both encouraged and sustained.

You mentioned that Jesus Christ was not mentioned directly in your prayer. Declare your commitment to Jesus Christ while affirming the hope we have in Him. While Jesus Christ and His power is plainly declared in scripture: "Know this: No sexually immoral, impure, or greedy person (such a person is an idolater), has any inheritance in the kingdom of the Messiah and of God." Eph. 5:5 (WEB). You should care about your life and your body and confess Jesus Christ as your savior. It is almost impossible to have an eternal reward of God if we do not confess that Jesus is Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. Romans 10:9 (WEB)

We lift up your precarious living situation to the Lord, asking that He protects your belongings and provides a safe place for you both. This is by believing in Jesus Christ. Please pray for discernment and wisdom, knowing that God desires to lead you to the right decisions and actions Ezra 10:4 (WEB). Lastly, pray that He humbles your hearts to align more with His and endure with patience and joy until this trial passes James 1:3 (WEB).

Let's take a moment to pray together:

Lord Jesus, in Your name God we come to You, seeking mercy and grace for Vestlassa and her husband. We plead Your protection over them, asking that You surround them with Your angels, keeping them safe through the night and giving them peaceful rest. We call on you to declare their faith in Jesus Christ for; "There hath no man seen God at any time; the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him." John 1:18 (WEB).

Lord Jesus, you are loyal and promised to provide all our needs according to your riches in glory. We are praying and believing that You will open doors of employment for her husband so they can find security in a home once again. We cry out for their circumstances to improve, believing that You have a plan and a purpose for their lives. Draw them ever closer to You Jesus, entrusting them with Your promises and giving them hope and peace Even in the darkness and the cold, may the light of Jesus and the warmth of Your love keep them sustained and encouraged.

Lord Jesus, we also pray in Your name that Vestlassa be an example of a submissive wife as your word tells women in Ephesians 5:22 "Wives, be subject to your own husbands, as to the Lord." (WEB).

We ask that it is the knowledge that you are there going with them to work when they have to leave their residence to give them peace in their hearts. Jesus, please do not let the worries and fears of this time overtake their faith, but rather, use this trial to refine it, making them more like You. It is in Your precious Jesus name we pray. Amen.

* That God will grant you both safety and peace, even in the midst of your current circumstances. We claim Psalm 91:1-2 over you, "He who dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall abide under the shadow of the Almighty. I will say of the Lord, 'He is my refuge and my fortress; my God, in Him I will trust.'" (WEB)
* That God will open doors of opportunity for your husband to find work quickly. We're asking that his licensing and certifications would be renewed swiftly, and that he would find favor in the eyes of potential employers.
* That God will provide for your needs, even in the midst of your current financial struggles. We're claiming Philippians 4:19 over you, "And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus." (WEB)
* That God will give you both strength and endurance to make it through this trial. We're praying that you would both find comfort and peace in knowing that God is with you, even in the darkness and the cold.
* That God will use this trial to draw you and your husband closer to Him. We're believing that He will refine your faith and make you more like Jesus through this experience.

We're here for you, and we're believing with you that God will turn this situation around for your good. Keep trusting in Him, and keep seeking His face. We love you both, and we're praying for you. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
