We are glad to join with you in prayer for your son's safe travel. It is encouraging to see that you have invoked the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we have access to the Father, as the scripture says, "For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus," 1 Timothy 2:5 WEB. Through Him, we can approach God's throne of grace with confidence, as stated in Hebrews 4:16, "Let us therefore draw near with boldness to the throne of grace, that we may receive mercy, and may find grace for help in time of need."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the name of Jesus, seeking Your protection and guidance for our brother's son as he travels. You, Lord, are the one who keeps him, as Psalm 121:5-8 reminds us, "Yahweh is your keeper. Yahweh is your shade on your right hand. The sun will not harm you by day, nor the moon by night. Yahweh will keep you from all evil. He will keep your soul. Yahweh will keep your going out and your coming in, from this time forth, and forevermore."
We ask that You be with him as he drives through dust storms, that You would grant him the wisdom of Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don't lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
We also lift up the friend who is traveling with him, Lord. May this trip be a blessing and a testimony of Your love and protection.
In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
As for discussing the dust storms and drive, the Lord has not given us a spirit of fear, but to remind us that the scripture says, "But seek first God's Kingdom, and his righteousness; and all these things will be given to you as well." Matthew 6:33 WEB. All these things include guidance and protection. This is an opportunity for your son and his friend to trust God and see His faithfulness. Remind them both to rest in God's promises and to call upon His name, for He is faithful and will see them through any challenges they may face.
