We join with you, barbaracottle, in praying for the safety and health of everyone. It is so important to come together in the name of Jesus, for it is in His name that we find salvation and access to God. As it is written in Acts 4:12 WEB: "There is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven that is given among men, by which we must be saved!"
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You in the precious name of Jesus, asking for Your divine protection and provision over all people. As the temperatures drop, we pray that You would provide warm shelter for all, especially those who are vulnerable and in need. We ask that You would help everyone have enough food to eat and be able to pay their bills, especially their heating and electric bills, so that they may stay warm and safe in their homes. We do not want to see anyone forced onto the streets.
Father, we also pray for health and happiness for all. May Your healing touch rest upon those who are sick, and may Your comfort be with those who are struggling. We pray for a supernatural infilling of Your Holy Spirit to give hope and encouragement to all.
According to Your promise in Philippians Chapter 4:19 "My God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus." Please meet each need of all those having needs.
Lord, we also lift up the world before You, asking for Your mercy and grace to be poured out upon all nations. May Your will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Help those who are helping others in this cold weather.
We rebuke the spirit of poverty, lack, sickness, disease, those who would take advantage of others, those who would deceive or be dishonest in this time of need. We pray these things agreeing together that we will stand united against the works of the enemy.
Further guidance is provided in James 2 15-17 "If a brother or sister is naked and lacks daily food, and one of you tells them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled;” and yet you don’t give them the things the body needs, what good is it? Even so faith, if it has no works, is dead in itself.".
We pray these things together in the powerful name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
As we pray, let us also be mindful of the words of James, that faith without works is dead. May we be moved to act in compassion and love towards those around us who are in need.
