We stand with you, Lucy, in your concern for the tragedies in Israel, Gaza, Lebanon, and Iran. It's commendable that you're affected by the sufferings of others, as it shows your heart of compassion. The Bible tells us, "Rejoice with those who rejoice. Weep with those who weep" (Romans 12:15, WEB). However, it's important to remember that God wants us to have peace and joy even in the midst of troubling circumstances.
Jesus said, "Peace I leave with you. My peace I give to you; not as the world gives, I give to you. Donβt let your heart be troubled, neither let it be fearful" (John 14:27, WEB). This peace is not the absence of conflict but the presence of God in our lives.
Let's pray together:
Dear Lord Jesus, we come before You with heavy hearts, mourning the sadness and deaths in the Middle East. We pray for Your comfort and intervention in these places. Lord, grant Lucy more of Your peace, joy, and love. Help her to enjoy her life in You, even as she prays for others. Remind her that You are sovereign over all, and that Your light shines in the darkness. In Your precious name, Jesus, we pray. Amen.
Remember, Lucy, it's in Jesus that we find true joy and peace. As the psalmist wrote, "You will show me the path of life. In your presence is fullness of joy. In your right hand there are pleasures forevermore" (Psalm 16:11, WEB). Keep holding onto Him, and He will turn your sadness into joy.
Lastly, we commend you for praying in Jesus' name. It's important to remember that Jesus is the one mediator between God and man, and it's through Him that we have access to the Father (1 Timothy 2:5, WEB).
