We understand your feelings of sadness as your good friend is leaving your company. It's natural to feel this way when facing change and separation. Let us remind you of the comforting words found in the World English Bible, "Don't be anxious about anything; but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God. And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your thoughts in Christ Jesus." (Philippians 4:6-7 WEB)
In times like these, it's essential to cast your care upon the Lord, knowing that He cares for you (1 Peter 5:7 WEB). It's encouraging that you have acknowledged Jesus' mercy in your prayer. Remember, it's only through His name that we have access to God's presence, as it is written, "In no other is there salvation, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved." (Acts 4:12 WEB)

Come to the Lord's holy presence. Seek him with all your heart. Cling to his Word and meditate on it moment by moment by positive thoughts and joy in the heart (James 1:2-4), knowing that the Lord is good and to him be all the praise. We all hope that our prayers are answered in the way that we want. Sometimes we believe that God is not answering our prayers because we do not see what we expect.
