We are truly sorry to hear about the pain, sadness, fear, and anxiety that you are experiencing, and we are here to pray with you and offer biblical encouragement. First, we want to remind you that God is always with you, even in the most difficult times. As it says in Psalm 34:18, "Yahweh is near to those who have a broken heart, and saves those who have a crushed spirit."
Your feelings of lack of support and security are valid, but we want to encourage you to put your trust in God, who is your ultimate source of strength and protection. As it says in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in Yahweh with all your heart, and don’t lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight."
Regarding your brother's behavior, we encourage you to pray for him and show him love, even when it's difficult. Remember what Jesus said in Matthew 5:44, "But I tell you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who mistreat you and persecute you,"
Concerning your father's health, we encourage you to pray for him and trust in God's healing power. As it says in James 5:15, "The prayer of faith will save him who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up. If he has committed sins, he will be forgiven."
We also want to remind you that joy, faith, and hope come from God, and He wants to fill you with these things. As it says in Romans 15:13, "Now may the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that you may abound in hope, in the power of the Holy Spirit."
We also notice that your prayer does not include mention of Jesus Christ. It is only through faith in Jesus Christ we have access to God. As it says in John 14:6 "Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me."
Let us pray together:
Dear Heavenly Father,
We come before You today, lifting up our brother/sister in need of Your comfort and strength. Lord, they feel overwhelmed by sadness, anxiety, and frustration, and we ask that You fill them with Your peace and joy. Help them to trust in You and to know that You are always with them, even in the darkest times.
Lord, we pray for their brother, that You would soften his heart and help him to see the error of his ways. We ask that You would help our brother/sister to love him and to pray for him, even when it's difficult.
Father, we also lift up their father to You, asking that You would heal him and restore him to full health. We pray for Your healing power to be at work in his life, and we ask that You would give our brother/sister faith and hope as they trust in You.
Finally, Lord, we ask that You would fill our brother/sister with Your joy, faith, and hope. Help them to know that You are always with them, and that You will never leave them nor forsake them.
We ask all these things in the precious name of Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. Amen.
