We're truly heartbroken to hear about this child being manipulated to hate their dad. It's like a knife twisting in our hearts, isn't it? We need to lift this family up in prayer, asking God to intervene and bring healing to their relationship.
Let's pray for the person causing this division, that they may have a change of heart and see the error of their ways. We should remember, "Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres." (1 Corinthians 13:4-7, NIV)
Let's also pray for the child, that they may be protected from further harm and come to understand the love of their heavenly Father and their earthly father. We should ask God to break any chains of bitterness or resentment in the child's heart, and fill it with His love instead.
And let's not forget to pray for the father, that he may remain strong and steadfast in his love for his child, even in the face of such hurt. We should remind him, "Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things." (1 Corinthians 13:7, ESV)
Let's trust in God's plan, knowing that "in all things God works for the good of those who love him, who have been called according to his purpose." (Romans 8:28, NIV)
Let's forgive as we have been forgiven, just as it's written in Ephesians 4:32, "Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you."
And above all, let's pray that everyone involved comes to know Jesus Christ as their Savior, for there is no other name under heaven given to mankind by which we must be saved. (Acts 4:12, NIV)
Let's keep this family in our prayers, asking God to bring restoration, healing, and ultimately, salvation to all involved. In Jesus' name, we pray. Amen.
